X-Men: Apocalypse (Movie Reaction)

Comments

Thank you for explaining about stuff I was confused about. I do not remember that end scene. probably didnt stick around for it. I dont think end scenes where that common back then but I could be wrong lol. I really need to rewatch the original trilogy again. I dont remember much of the last stand except I didnt like it that much and the scenes i've mentioned throughout these X-Men reactions.

Reds Reactions

X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and X-Men: Apocalypse- Thank you so very much for your amazing reactions to each of these fantastic movies within this First Class Generation Trilogy within the X-Men universe, Reds! I absolutely loved watching your reactions to each of these movies, and I am happy you enjoyed them all too. Now, first... There are still a few more X-Men movies for you to watch at some point, including a fourth movie with the First Class cast, titled... The Dark Phoenix, Another Wolverine centered movie, titled... Logan, and the two, or now three Deadpool movies. I never watched any of the Deadpool movies, nor do I ever care to. They're just not movies I have any interest in. Also... I was really bored with Logan, in spite of Logan being one of every X-Men fans' favorite movies out of all of them. So, I only got about thirty minutes into the movie before I finally turned it off, and I've never had any desire to go back to watching it again to see the rest of what I missed. And as for X-Men: The Dark Phoenix... I saw this movie in theaters, and I was so excited to see it, even though I knew it meant it would be a Jean Gray centric movie much like the third movie within the original X-Men Trilogy with the original cast, given that she's known as the Dark Phoenix. A story arc for her character that I personally hate. From both these movies, as well as from the original X-Men cartoon, which I also really love. But I was excited for this fourth movie, titled... X-Men: The Dark Phoenix anyways, because it meant more James McAvoy as Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Magneto, both of whom I absolutely love, love, love in these movies! And it meant more Cyclops, Beast, Quicksilver, and a few other characters I also really love too. Unfortunately... I absolutely hated this movie just as I feared I would. Because, without any spoilers... This movie completely destroys a lot about what I love within all of the X-Men movies. And while I don't dislike Sophie Turner as Jean Gray in X-Men: Apocalypse, I definitely come to dislike her and her character in The Dark Phoenix. And the same goes for Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, whom I never really liked at all. A few other characters too. So... I won't be requesting any of these movies for you to watch any time in the future. However, they may be movies you wish to watch for yourself, and you may even wish to create reactions for them, such as you have done with a number of the Marvel movies now too. As for the inconsistencies and all the confusion within these three First Class generation movies, and their connections to the past movies within the original X-Men movies, as well as X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and The Wolverine... Yes, there are indeed many inconsistencies, and these movies aren't perfectly connected as much as true X-Men fans would like for them to. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was the first movie to really throw people off, especially in regards to Deadpool, as well as the relationship between Logan and his brother, Sabretooth. And now... These First Class generation movies also mess with the timelines and the origins of certain characters too. Especially X-Men: Days of Future Past. Basically, to answer a few of your questions... X-Men Days of Future Past is pretty much an entire reset, making the events we see within the original X-Men Trilogy completely change. And yes... What we see within the very ending of Days of Future Past, when we see the original Jean Gray and Scott Summers again, this was more of a way to create a happy ending for us and for our characters, in case more X-Men movies weren't made. But more were indeed made, and so we are supposed to basically forget about that happy ending we see in Days of Future Past, because like we see here in X-Men: Apocalypse, it's not so much of a happy ending. Yes... Our characters all survive, both Charles and Erik are friends once again, they're finally back on the same side, and our characters all become X-Men led by Mystique. Which if you ask me, is a strange choice, but c'est la vie. However, we can see that from this movie and especially in the next movie... What happens to our characters in these movies, changes who they are and what comes of them, from what we see in the happy ending in Days of Future Past, as well as in the Original X-Men Trilogy. Basically... We are meant to simply watch these movies for what they are, and enjoy them for what they are, and not try to compare or connect them to all the other movies. I hope this whole explanation helps, Reds. Also, in answer to another big confusion you had regarding Xavier and how he survives being killed by Jean Grey as you remember from X-Men: The Last Stand, and why he's back again in The Wolverine and in X-Men: Days of Future Past... I've been told from other fans of these movies and their characters, that Xavier was able to survive because he managed to transfer his mind, soul, and powers into a dying mutant with some help from Moira Mactaggert, whom we meet a younger version of in X-Men: First Class and whom we see once again here in X-Men: Apocalypse as well. There is actually am end credits scene in X-Men: The Last Stand, where Charles wakes up in a hospital after the events of The Last Stand, with Moira standing over him, and Charles whispers her name. However, he's actually in another person's body, after him having been able to transfer himself into the new body. Much like Apocalypse is able to do as shown throughout X-Men: Apocalypse. Xavier then uses his powers to make himself appear as his former self to each of his students and everyone who knows him, in order to make them not feel so weird around him. So I have been told, to help explain that end credits scene in The Last Stand, and how it is Xavier's older self is still alive. Again... I hope this explanation helps you too, Reds. Overall... I love each of these three movies about the First Class Generation. I love a majority of its characters, including Charles Xavier (Professor X), Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto), Logan (Wolverine), Hank McCoy (Beast), Alex Summers (Havoc), Scott Summers (Cyclops), Moira Mactaggert, Peter Maximoff (Quicksilver), Ororo Munroe (Storm), and many more... I'm not a fan of Jean Gray, mostly because I just don't really care much for how her character is written in any of these X-Men movies, including in the original trilogy. And while I do enjoy Mystique as a character in the original movies, I really don't like her character at all in the First Class generation movies, because I hate how she's written and because I am not at all a fan of Jennifer Lawrence and her portrayal of Mystique. My favorite things within these First Class generation movies, is I absolutely love, love, love the friendship/rivalry between Charles and Erik, and I love both of their characters and their actors very, very much! I love that no matter what may come between them, and no matter if they agree or not, they still always come back to one another and their friendship never dies. They have a deep and true friendship. And it's like Erik says to Charles in the ending of X-Men: First Class... "We are brothers, you and I". So true. I absolutely love James McAvoy as Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr. Both men are very talented actors in any role they take on, but I especially love them as Xavier and Magneto. And I love the bond and friendship between them. Even when they're fighting against one another. I love everything about them! Their flaws and all. They are what make these movies as good as they are, in my opinion. Are they perfect? No. Not by any means, but I still absolutely love them, nonetheless. So, thank you so very much once more, for watching and reacting to each of these X-Men movies for me, Reds! I truly appreciate it very much, and I am so happy you enjoyed them all!! In spite of your confusions. :) Thank you truly, my dear friend! Sincerely, Heidi
