X-Men Origins Wolverine (Movie Reaction)

Comments

X-Men Origins: Wolverine- I know that X-Men Origins: Wolverine is known to be one of the least favorite X-Men movies for most Marvel movies and X-Men movies. And I think it is because there are most certainly some inconsistencies and things that don't line up correctly with the rest of the X-Men movies. I haven't seen the Deadpool movies, nor do I ever care to despite my love for Ryan Reynolds as an actor. But I do believe I've heard that the circumstances surrounding Wade's or Deadpool's origins do not line up. Also... Charles Xavier's appearance in the end of this movie doesn't line-up with the events that occur for his character, in the previous movies or in any future movies either. And I know that parts of even Logan's and his brother, Victor's origins are off from all other movies too. I'm just not sure what all the inconsistencies are. Other than that you are absolutely correct about Victor being the beast creature in the very first X-Men movie, known as Sabretooth. And while we see in this movie how Logan loses his memories and this would explain why Logan wouldn't remember Victor or Sabretooth, there is never once any indication in the first movie where Victor remembers Logan at all. And I am pretty sure that they are not actually written to even be brothers at all. Otherwise... Sabretooth would have been more of a character, and he would have revealed himself to be Logan's brother to him in one of their many fights in the movie. Overall... I still really enjoy X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I love Gambit's character, and his actor... Taylor Kitsch. From watching the X-Men cartoons back when I was much younger, Gambit has always been my absolute favorite character within the X-Men universe. So, him not being in any of the rest of the movies, has always been a big disappointment for me. But I love him here in this movie. I just wish he was in this movie more than he is. He's just a really fun character. I also really enjoy Logan a lot throughout this movie too. I always love Hugh Jackman. And Wolverine isn't even my favorite character of his that he plays, and yet I really do love him as Logan throughout all of these X-Men movies. And I really like seeing the origins for his character. Especially in seeing how he comes to be Wolverine, with his adamantium claws and lack of memories. In the first X-Men movie... Logan already has no memories of who he is, and therefore Xavier tries to help him regain his memories. That are revealed throughout the second movie... X2: X-Men United. And now we finally see how he comes to lose his memories, and we get to learn much more of his past with Colonel Strycker. And I enjoy it all. I also love his romance with the woman who gives him his name, Wolverine. It's sad that she does wind up dying in the very end. And in regards to Wade, or Deadpool... While I have no interest in watching the Deadpool movies for various reasons, I do enjoy his character in this movie. At least... I enjoy his character in the very beginning of this movie, when we see Ryan Reynolds fighting with his swords to kill the soldiers. It's one of my favorite scenes in this movie because it's just amazing and exciting!! And Ryan Reynolds is pretty funny too. Victor, played by Liev Schreiber is great too! He's creepy in the best sense. And I really enjoy Liev Schreiber a lot, in a great number of his movies. His version of Victor, or Sabretooth, which isn't a name he's ever given throughout this movie, even though their characters are indeed one in the same. Nonetheless... I really enjoy him throughout this movie. I wish that this character was always played by Liev Schreiber, and that he and Logan were brothers in both movies. Overall... I enjoy X-Men Origins: Wolverine. So, thank you once again for watching this movie for me, Reds! Especially while you've been sick. I really appreciate it. So, thank you!! Sincerely, Heidi
