Hawkeye S01E02: Hide and Seek (Full Reaction)

Hawkeye- Thank you very much for your fabulous reaction for these first two episodes of Hawkeye so far, Reds!! I absolutely love Hawkeye, and I love Jeremy Renner in this role as Hawkeye/Clint Barton. It's tragic to me how most people who love these movies and their characters, consider Hawkeye to be the weakest of all the Avengers, and some sadly don't even like him at all. And not because he's a hero who just fights with a bow and arrows. Which is really sad, because I absolutely love him!!! To me... The superheroes who don't have any special powers or super strength, are some of my favorite superheroes. And this definitely includes Hawkeye for me too. And I really enjoy these first two episodes. Mostly for Hawkeye himself, but also because this show is set during Christmastime, as well as after the events in The Avengers, and Avengers: Endgame. Now... I absolutely love Jeremy Renner as an actor. He's actually one of my all time favorite actors, and Hawkeye is one of my very favorite of the Avengers. For many reasons. So, I was especially excited for this show to come out above all the rest of the Marvel shows on Disney Plus. I love each of the characters we've gotten shows for so far, but so far... I haven't been too impressed by many of them. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is by far the best among them before now, and even still... I didn't like it as much as I hoped I would because of the show's major and minor flaws. Given that I love the characters. Bucky especially. It had its problems for sure. Thankfully, Hawkeye continues to impress me. Clint has been brilliant so far!! :) However, I definitely want to see more focus on him, given that this show is called Hawkeye and not the Kate Bishop Show. I don't feel like we get enough of his character. At least in these first two episodes. I get that Kate Bishop is a new character to the Marvel Universe, and that she needs to be introduced. However, more Clint Barton/Hawkeye would be fabulous! As for Kate Bishop... So far, she's a lot of fun. I definitely think she's a little too cocky and foolish to constantly put herself in harm's way. However, I still really like her character a lot. And I am rarely a fan of these kind of characters who really have no place interfering in such dangerous affairs while believing they can beat the bad guys on their own. At least she's more than happy to fight alongside Hawkeye, who's become her hero ever since he saved her life when she was much younger, during the battle of New York. And I am looking forward to seeing more interactions between her and her hero now that she and Hawkeye have come together. I love Clint's story arc so far, and I love that we're getting to see his struggles upon losing Natasha, as well as with trying to move on since he helped fight the big war against Thanos, losing his entire family, and from being Ronin. Marvelous!! :) And lastly... Thankfully, Jeremy Renner is remarkably doing much, much better since his near death experience this past New Years. It's absolutely incredible that he even survived this incident, let alone has managed to work so hard to be where he is today. I was so, so heartbroken to hear that he had been in such a terrible and tragic accident. Especially upon hearing that he nearly died because he saved someone's life. His nephew's life. Jeremy Renner has become a hero in real life, and I admire him all the more for being such a good man. And as far as him still acting... I am not sure if or when he's going to come back to making movies again, but as far as I know, he hasn't retired from acting yet. Which is wonderful!! I certainly hope to see him again in more movies. Especially in more Marvel movies as Hawkeye once more. :) Thank you once more, my dear friend! I can't wait to continue watching your reactions for more Hawkeye!! I've always wished that Hawkeye would get his own movie like Black Widow finally did. Sadly, he's the only one of the original Avengers who don't have his own movie. I have especially hoped we would finally get a backstory about how Clint and Natasha first meet. While this show is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, I still hope we will learn about his past with Natasha too. Until next time, my friend... And thank you! Sincerely, Heidi
