The Falcon and the Winter Soldier S01E04: The Whole World Is Watching (Full Reaction)

I agree that it's all really confusing for me too. I just know that there is the whole original timeline, and now an alternate timeline too. I think it was necessary for Steve, or for someone to return the stones, so that those within the new alternate timeline wouldn't be affected by the stones going missing. Sorry that I can't be more helpful. Sincerely, Heidi

I helps a little i think lol. My thing with the timeline with steve is they said they had to return the stones or it would mess up the timeline but if a new one just gets created then why was it so important to return the stones.

Reds Reactions

Thank you so much for your reactions to these next two episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Reds! I am enjoying your reactions so much, and I hope you're enjoying this show too, dear friend. :) In answer to your questions regarding the whole time travel confusion... When Steve travelled back in time to return each of the six infinity stones to their proper time, then chose to stay behind in the forties to live the rest of his life with Peggy, he created what is best described as an alternate timeline. As is somewhat and confusingly explained to us in Avengers: Endgame by Bruce Banner, and the Ancient One (from the first Doctor Strange movie). Therefore... Everything that happened before this whole time travel storyline, has still occurred just as it always has, while from all of the changes made to the new past that Steve goes back to, stems a new future. This is how Nebula was able to kill the evil past version of herself, while still remaining alive, and why there is now an alternate version of Gamora. Thanos still wipes out half the universe's population in the blip, while the alternate past version of Thanos dies in the end of Endgame's big battle to save the world. Steve is able to live his life with an alternate past version of Peggy, while the original version of herself still mourns for Steve after he died. This is the version we see of her in her own show... Agent Carter. And to help answer your confusion as to what Karli and the Flag Smashers are fighting for... During the Blip (the five year time period while half the Universe's population remained dead), the world was united. There were no longer borders keeping people out of certain countries because there was no need. People cared more for one another and looked after one another. There was plenty of food, good homes and shelter for everyone to live in, plenty of medicine, money, and no governments enforcing the laws and rules, etc.. Upon everyone returning after the blip upon the Avengers defeating Thanos... All of this changed, and everything has begun to return to the way things were before the five year blip. Karli and the Flag Smashers want everything to go back to the way things were during this five year blip. They are fighting for all of those who remained alive during the five year blip, and to destroy the governments that are now trying to take away all that they had while half the universe's population were gone and enforce the rules that are causing a lot of pain for everyone who remained alive during the blip. I hope my explanations make some sense for you, Reds. I hope I was able to help clear up some of your confusion. Sincerely, Heidi
