You are right that they were talking about the guy in the previously on. Alexei was his first name and they also used his last name. In Season 2, Oliver used the Bratva to get a location on Slade Wilson back when he first found out he was alive but he refused to do something in return and instead pointed a gun at Alexei and told him that for tonight, the Bratva worked for him and then as Oliver said in the episode, Slade killed Alexei which is why Anatoli punched him. Anatoli and Oliver certainly have an interesting and complicated relationship. Hopefully they won't become enemies. I really liked the car scene with Dinah too, Oliver really needed to hear it for sure. John definitely went too far but I don't have an issue with what Felicity is doing at all. Like you, I can understand why Rory is concerned because it is a lot of power. It will be interesting to see where they go with it. Hopefully we'll see Rory again. I really liked him too.
