Thank You! X-Men is where I remembered her from. I've seen the first 3 X-men movies and I liked her as Jean Grey. I hated what they did to her character by the end though even though she was a kick ass villain.

It is definitely quite a dark twist on the Hansel and Gretel fairytale, and this movie is also quite gorey too. Just like you said. But it's fun and entertaining. And it's a pretty good movie to watch around Halloween. :) I love Jeremy Renner as an actor, and I really love him as Hansel. Is this his best role? No. Not at all. But he does a great job in this movie. And I really love the take on his and Gretel's characters, as they are now grown up and have become witch hunters after their terrifying experience upon nearly being killed by a witch when they were children. Gemma Arterton as Gretel is pretty good too. I love her spunk and sass. And she and Jeremy Renner play well off one another. I love their overall story arcs throughout this movie. I love that their mother was a good witch, who cast a protection spell over her children so they would be immne to all evil witches' dark magic. I love that Gretel is also a good witch too. And I love the twist with Hansel in which he is now forced to take medicne every so often to help him, thanks to all of the candy that he had been forced to eat by the witch that nearly killed them when they were children. And I love that as brother and sister, they're both still very close and that they fight against witches together. I also love that there are both evil witches and good witches within this world as well. I like that their mother was a good witch, and I like Mina's overall character as well. As for the actress you recognized from a number of movies, who plays Muriel, the main evil witch... Muriel is played by Famke Janssen, who I know best from a majority of the X-Men movies with Hugh Jackman. She plays Jean Grey, in case you might have seen these movies. I also know here from a great spy comedy called, I Spy... starring Owen Wilson and Eddie Murphy. Muriel is a pretty villain throughout this movie. And I like this actress. Thank you again, Reds!
