Hollywood What If Chapter 497

[The story is amazing! I didn't expect the plot twist at all! I'm losing my shit all of the time. Man, I want to invite my friends to watch Shadows Beneath because I want them to be scared too. But most of them are weak-willed, and they will probably cry if they watch it... On the second note, I will probably invite them just to see them cry.]

-- You are crazy! Update us once that happens.

-- Lmao, I will also do that to my friends. I will also recommend this movie to my professor just to fuck him up.

-- You guys are bad. Don't you feel bad about doing this?

-- The commenter above me is gay.

-- Let's gooo--!!

Shane smiled as he looked at the comments. He was one of the employees of Grey Marketing Company.

Grey Marketing Company was the company that Victor and Aaron led. The two were Kazir's father and older brother.

Grey Marketing Company specializes in printing ads and making commercials for local TV networks and radio stations.

Their business started getting better after the new century arrived. The company started dabbling on the internet and their business endeavor was successful.

They were the first marketing company that popularized online marketing.

The idea of online marketing came from Kazir Grey, and people realized that the director was not just a talented director; he also understood how to do marketing. His ideas made the company better.

Shane was hired two years ago, the time when Facebook and other online platforms were getting popular.

They had been hired by many companies to promote their products online. Being one of the first companies that did online marketing, Grey Marketing Company had a solid foundation in the industry so many companies preferred to hire them.

In fact, 20th Century Fox also hired them whenever they needed people to promote their movies online, especially on IMDb and other movie rating sites.

Right now, Shane is promoting Shadows Beneath on Facebook. He was using one of his ten Facebook accounts to promote the movie by posting things related to the movie, commenting on other posts related to the movie, interacting with people, and convincing them to watch Shadows Beneath.

They were probably the first generation of the water army. Water Army was a term that refers to a group of people that manipulated public opinion and subtly promoted products online.

While Shane was doing this job, he realized that as long as he wrote something with credibility with a bit of falsehood or over-exaggeration, people would still believe him.

For example, there was a study that using vaccines was bad for health and could lead to possible death. Some facts could verify this statement, but most of them were just about side effects and allergic reactions with some small possibilities of leading to death. However, these cases were too rare to happen.

Some organizations used this method to convince people that using vaccines was bad for their health. They used small cases and information that could support their statements.

Thankfully, Grey Marketing Company focused on marketing instead of dabbing its hands in politics. Politics was usually the sector that loved spreading false information... Well, they loved embellishing truth into bad ones.

Shane was part of a team consisting of ten people that promoted Shadows Beneath on Facebook and other platforms. Other teams promoted Shadows Beneath online but Shane's team focused more on socializing with people and convincing them to watch the movie.

Suddenly, their team leader showed up with a thick stack of paper.

"We have a new job." The team leader said.

He passed the documents to each member and they looked at the documents. There were pictures of abandoned hospitals and people who were tied in hospital jackets... There were also some disturbing pictures about lobotomy and other experiments.

One of the female members almost puked and closed the documents. Even Shane frowned as he turned the pages.

"Our job this time is to spread this information all over the world... We must also hire translators to help us. Anyway, for now, we should spread these pictures, videos, and information."

The Internet was still in its initial stage and censorship was hard to implement. You could even upload porn and beheading videos on YouTube.

The information they were spreading was about the cruelty and experiments that doctors in mental hospitals did to their patients.

As for how their clients found this bunch of information, they had no idea.

One thing was clear, people who were into this kind of thing would be happy to consume morbid facts like this.

This was also another way to promote Shadows Beneath... When Shane was doing this job, he didn't know how massive this promotion would be.

.........

......

...

Kazir was very nervous. He couldn't sleep lately. This was different from his usual sleepless nights where he had to keep up with working on movie projects.

This month of January, Kazir had so much free time, and he could lie down in bed without a problem... The problem was not about his free time, the problem was about his nervousness regarding his original movie.

Universal Pictures and Grey Pictures did their best to promote the movie, but Kazir couldn't help but be nervous.

He did his best in promoting the movie and attending interviews and talk shows. Now that the movie was in theaters, Kazir felt like he needed to do more to make sure that the movie would be successful.

Honestly, he would be happy if Shadows Beneath surpassed $300 million. But he also wanted to do his best so that the movie would do better than $300 million.

Unfortunately, what he could do as a director was limited, so all he did lately was lay in bed, doing nothing but be nervous. Even sleeping was a hard thing to do.

Even Scarlett was worried about Kazir. She wanted to invite him to a place where the internet and phones couldn't disturb them.
