Thank you for the fun reaction! :)
I was definitily able to see more of Joe's negative side this viewing. Only caring about himself and his musical career, that being that only reason for wanting to return back to life. Wouldn't you want to go back to your mother, or your friends?
That said, I still enjoy the movie. It's a nice story overall.
And after so many movies telling you to "chase your dreams!", "do what you're meant to do", and such, it is very refreshing and beautiful to see a story telling you to just enjoy life itself, and don't miss out on all the little things.
And 22 was an enjoyable character. Although, it's very sad just how long they've been in the You Seminar. So many mentors. And if the Souls are actually numbered just in numerical order, and 22 was really the 22nd soul since the beginning...
My personal two favorite scenes are Dorothea Williams telling the story about the fish, and the Barber Shop scene.
By the way, you missed a little post-credits scene. It wasn't much, just a little meta joke.
