The bride was casually hitting all of the high notes while singing "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. This song was a tough sing, by the way, yet she ate the song without any hassle while wearing a wedding dress.

To make it more interesting, most of the guests were not shocked at all. They were having fun and cheering the bride, but they were not shocked by her performance. As if this kind of talent was a normal thing to them. Like singing was just part of their culture.

These people were Filipinos and the bride was also a Filipina. That explains a lot, actually. Filipinos love karaoke and singing. You can hear them singing in the bedroom, in the toilet, in the classroom, in the public. Like, they don't have shame and just sing... To be fair, though, the ones who sing in public really have amazing voices to back it up.

As for the other guests, they were shocked and amazed. Watching a newlywed bride singing one of the hardest songs with ease was astonishing. Most of the time, they only hear live singing performances in a bar or concert. But this was a wedding... Even MTV couldn't compare to what they were seeing right now.

"... Palenque, congratulations. I didn't know that you're wife has amazing talent."

Kazir turned to her.

"When are you getting married?"

"Me? You know that I just broke up with Angelina. I haven't no one to marry me." He chuckled. He was a fool if he said that he was fine.

He invested so much in that relationship. He was allowed to grieve on that failed relationship. He planned to stay single for a while.

"Perhaps..." Scarlett tried to say something but Kazir cut her off.

"Besides, I'm not sure if I will ever marry a person. My experience in marriage was not great. It gave me trauma."

"I guess, never mind." She bitterly smiled before changing the topic. "By the way congratulations, Spider-Man 2's revenue just surpassed $800 million worldwide. Do you think it will break the $1 billion mark just like the first movie?"

"Probably not. The potential of Spider-Man 2 was already used up. At best, the movie can reach $900 million but that's also hard to accomplish because Spider-Man 2 was already released in most countries."

[Author's Note: My father will return to the Philippines tomorrow after three years of working in Saudi Arabia. I'm excited to meet my father again after not seeing him for three years. I'm proud of my father for working and providing for us. A few years ago, I was ashamed of myself for being a burden to my parents. I felt worthless, and even now, that thought is still lingering in my mind. Before the pandemic struck, I was a college student who was trying his best to study so that I wouldn't disappoint my family. Unfortunately, I didn't finish college, for financial reasons. Things became tough for us after the pandemic, and we really hit rock bottom. My father has to go overseas just to make sure we won't be hungry. And for that, I'm really thankful. So yeah, I don't know how to face my father tomorrow, I'm probably going to be happy. I'm not sure about crying though. I rarely cry in front of anyone.]
