Kazir's Oscar movie

So since Kazir is going to compete in Oscars, I decided to compile the movies who had a chance to win Best Director and Best Actor Awards.

By the way, I voted for The Revenant because both the actor (Leonardo DiCaprio) and director (Alejandro G. Iñárritu) won the Oscars.

1.) The Revenant

"The Revenant" is a 2015 film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. It follows the survival journey of Hugh Glass, a frontiersman in the 1820s, who endures harsh conditions and a bear attack. Betrayed and left for dead by his expedition team, Glass embarks on a grueling quest for revenge against those who abandoned him in the unforgiving wilderness. The film is known for its stunning cinematography, intense storytelling, and Leonardo DiCaprio's Oscar-winning performance as Hugh Glass.(Chatgpt)

2.) Birdman.

"Birdman" is a 2014 film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. It revolves around Riggan Thomson, a faded actor known for portraying a superhero, as he attempts a career revival by staging a Broadway play. The film blurs reality and fantasy, exploring themes of ego, identity, and the pursuit of artistic validation. Noteworthy for its innovative one-shot appearance and Michael Keaton's acclaimed performance, "Birdman" received critical acclaim and won several Academy Awards, including Best Picture.(Chatgpt)

3.) The Artist.

"The Artist" is a 2011 silent black-and-white film directed by Michel Hazanavicius. Set in Hollywood during the transition from silent films to talkies, it follows the story of George Valentin, a silent film star, and Peppy Miller, an aspiring actress. The film beautifully captures the era's charm and challenges, using a silent film format. "The Artist" received widespread acclaim for its nostalgic homage to classic cinema and won several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Picture. (Chatgpt)

4.) The King's Speech.

"The King's Speech" is a 2010 historical drama directed by Tom Hooper. The film depicts the true story of King George VI of Britain, who struggles with a speech impediment. With the help of an unorthodox speech therapist, Lionel Logue, the king works to overcome his stammer as he reluctantly ascends to the throne during a crucial period in history. The film received critical acclaim, particularly for Colin Firth's performance as King George VI, and won several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Pictures. (Chatgpt)

5.) No Country For Old Men.

"No Country for Old Men" is a 2007 neo-Western thriller directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. The film follows a hunter, Llewelyn Moss, who stumbles upon a drug deal gone wrong in the Texas desert and takes a briefcase full of money. This sets off a violent chain of events involving a relentless hitman, Anton Chigurh, and Sheriff Ed Tom Bell, who is trying to make sense of the escalating chaos. The movie, adapted from Cormac McCarthy's novel, explores themes of fate, morality, and the changing nature of crime. "No Country for Old Men" received critical acclaim and won several Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

6.) The Departed.

"The Departed" is a 2006 crime thriller directed by Martin Scorsese. Set in Boston, it revolves around an undercover cop, Billy Costigan, and a mole within the police force, Colin Sullivan, both trying to uncover each other's identity. Fucking love this idea, it would be perfect

Wilder

While I love A Beautiful Mind, with 9/11 being so close, I think Kazir should go for United 93. It would honor those people aboard the flight as well as earn him huge credits with nearly everyone. Tbh, I think Kazir should fund this movie nearly 100% himself and then donate all proceeds to helping victims of the attack. Not even counting all the goodwill he’d earn from this move, it’s pretty much guaranteed to win Oscars.

I consider adding La La Land but it's a musical and I'm not sure if Kazir knew what to do with musical. It's too much if Kazir is even talented in that aspect.

So, I don't really like any of them. Ron Howard won in 2001 with a Beautiful Mind, and should already be filming it. All the others are obvious oscar bait. The Departed being the sole exception, and none of them seem like Kazirs style. The Kings Speech would be good, except it can't be made til 2006 I think at the earliest. The reason it wasn't made til 2010 had to do with the queen mother. It wasn't til after she died that the royal family allowed it to be made. I'm voting for The Departed on this list, but I'd suggest La La Land. Its funny, fun, and won everything. Mostly because so many in the Academy identified with the movie. There is nothing in that movie, that prevents it from being made earlier either.
