Hollywood What If Chapter 232

The copyrights of Napoleon Dynamite were acquired by 20th Century Fox, to be precise, by Fox Searchlight Pictures. 

This was the first movie that Fox Searchlight Pictures and it was a massive success. This gave Fox Searchlight Pictures the ability to acquire more profitable movies at cheap prices such as The Full Monty. The Full Monty had a box office of $258 million despite having a small budget of $3.5 million. 

Director Kazir Grey sold the copyrights for $25 million back in 1995. It was his first successful movie and it brought him to where he was right now. 

The higher-ups of 20th Century Fox felt like this was the right time to end the Napoleon Dynamite for the time being. Perhaps they would have a sequel in five to ten years. 

Using that as a basis, they promote Napoleon Dynamite III as the last movie of the franchise to attract more audiences. 

'I earned more than $5 million just by being an executive producer of this movie. Heck, I only attended the filming a few times.' 

Kazir thought to himself. He realized that his position in the industry was not simple anymore. Just by being an executive producer who didn't work much for the project, he already earned $5 million... Perhaps that was the reason why Director Lameire was mad at him. Because their salary was the same. 

"Are you sure you want to take me to the premiere? I heard your ex-girlfriend will be there." Angelina playfully teased the man next to her. 

"Are you talking about Reese?" Kazir put down the newspaper. He was reading the news related to Gladiator directed by Ridley Scott.

"Obviously." She rolled her eyes. 

"My relationship with Reese was complicated."

"Yeah yeah, you don't have to explain. You guys are fuck-buddies but more than that."

"That's harsh. And no, we are not."

Kazir knew that they never admitted their relationship to the public. But he believed that their relationship was more than that. He indeed had feelings for Reese. 

The two stepped out of the limousine and accepted the attention they got from the reporters and cameras flashing before them. 

Angelina was very bold and showed her affection for Kazir by kissing him on the lips in front of the media. Perhaps tomorrow, their pictures of them kissing would circulate everywhere. 

If something was surprising, it was the fact that Kazir played with Angelina. He didn't push her away, instead, he kissed back. 

Even the reporter who was supposed to interview them was stunned and could only ask them trivial questions. 

"Angelina, you are quite brave for doing that. You know that this is the premier of Napoleon Dynamite III, yet you stole the attention of the media for what you did. What if it affected the box office of Napoleon Dynamite III?" Kazir whispered in her ear and Angelina felt ticklish. 

"Then let it be. I believe the changes it will bring to Napoleon Dynamite III will be positive. Kazir, I know that Napoleon Dynamite III was written by you and I want it to be successful. I want to see you happy." She giggled and hugged his arm tighter. 

"Thanks..." 

Regarding the script of Napoleon Dynamite III, Kazir hired a group of professional writers. He just said his opinion and let them write the overall content. 

Honestly, Kazir didn't the outcome of this movie. He just hoped that with the help of past achievements of the franchise, more people would watch Napoleon Dynamite III. 

The theater was filled with people, just like usual. 

Kazir recognized so many people, most of them were the cast of Napoleon Dynamite that he worked with six years ago. 

His sight caught a certain person too. 

"Why don't we greet them?" Angelina proposed, smiling innocently. 

"Angelina, what are you going to do this time?"

"Me? Nothing, of course."

Yet her intention was obvious, Angelina pulled Kazir to Reese Witherspoon who was wearing a tight pink dress with a low v-cut where her cleavage was obvious. Legally Blonde was in the process of creation and it seemed that Reese was affected by the aesthetic. 

Of course, Angelina was wearing something special as well. A backless velvet dress with her hair tied in a bun. Perhaps Angelina purposely wore this to attract attention and to compete with Reese Witherspoon. 

"Hello, I'm Angelina Jolie." She was the first to introduce herself. 

"Hm? Oh, hi! I'm Reese Witherspoon." Reese looked at Angelina first before looking at Kazir. 

Her expression was... normal. She didn't react that much and her response was nothing special. 

"Oh my God, you're so beautiful."

"Thanks, you too."

The two women started talking and praising each other, leaving Kazir standing between them, keeping his mouth shut. 

After a few minutes of useless conversation, the couple walked away. 

"Tch, she's no fun. I thought she would show an interesting face. I guess you're sad Kazir. That woman is already over you."

"I'm actually happy for her," Kazir replied. 

"What? You're not bitter that she has moved on?"

Kazir nodded. He was the type who hoped that everyone around him was living a happy life. 

"Geez, you're no fun as well... But I like that about you." She giggled and leaned against his shoulder. 

'Well, maybe Reese is just good at hiding her emotions. Now that I think about it, she never greets or talks to Kazir.'

Angelina thought about it.

'I guess I can understand why. Kazir is a man that many women dreamed of. Even me, I felt like this man would be part of my heart even if we broke up, which I hope will never happen.'

"Angelina, don't try doing that again. Remember, we are just guests and tonight is all about Napoleon Dynamite III. We don't want to cause trouble."

"Okay~" She answered sarcastically, quite having fun with her man's serious reaction. 

After that, the two wait for the premier to start to watch the movie, Napoleon Dynamite III. 

[Author's Note: I have no idea what will be the plot of Napoleon Dynamite III so I will skip that part and go with the box office of Napoleon Dynamite III instead. You can give me a short plot, if I like it, I will add it to the chapter but I have no intention of writing too much about Napoleon Dynamite III. In this summer, three movies will be released that have a strong connection to Kazir. They are Napoleon Dynamite III, Bruce Almighty, and Wanted.]
