Hollywood What If Chapter 230

"You changed... You are not the woman I married." Victor had a defeated sigh. He thought perhaps Elizabeth had an ounce of love for their children.

"Indeed. I changed. You're the one responsible for my change. Victor, I loved you, I promised to be with you forever. Live a happy life, marry you... Perhaps I was crazy at that time. Love can vanish." She smiled, bitterly, recalling the past.

"Our marriage was very happy and I understand that you are working hard for our future, for the kids. When Aaron was born, I was so proud of him, I pampered him and gave him all of my attention."

Victor lowered his head, listening to Elizabeth's reminiscing.

"But I guess my patience has a limit too. When I was pregnant with Kazir, I needed you, I want you to stay with me. Hold me dearly and tell me that you love me. But your business took a nose dive and you need to stay in the office 24/7... I can understand that, I did my best to understand you."

Victor bit his lip. That was the start when their marriage slowly turned cold.

"Three days before I gave birth to Kazir, I begged you to stay. But you didn't listen and flew to Japan instead. What happened after that? Victor, tell me, what happened after that?"

"I can't control the weather Elizabeth--"

Elizabeth slammed her fists against the table and the plates and utensils clanked.

"You should have stayed! I gave birth to Kazir, and the doctors surrounded me, but I need you the most! You..."

Elizabeth frowned when she realized that tears formed in the corner of her eyes. She clicked her tongue and wiped them before glaring at Victor who kept his head down.

"Are you ashamed of yourself?"

"..."

"I hate you and the God or whatever for that. The will above let you get stranded in the airport while there's a typhoon, doing and hoping the best to return to your family, but you failed. And I hate you because of that... Victor, why did you leave me?"

"The Japanese investor needs to talk to me personally before he can invest and I really need the investment to start the project," Victor said in a tired voice. They actually had a conversation like this fifteen years ago.

Victor worked his ass off just to provide a better future for his children... It cost him his marriage.

"Ah, yeah, I guess that's not bad since we became rich after that, ahahaha." She giggled. Elizabeth still received money from her ex-husband. Perhaps Victor felt bad about their break-up.

"After that, all my love for you disappeared... As for our kids, Aaron grew up nice, I heard he is married now. I felt bad for naming our second son Kazir, but I can't return to the past to right the wrongs. I have no intention of doing so. Kazir was one of the reasons why I'm fucked up in the head. Giving birth to him made me lose my mind."

"Elizabeth, he is your son," Victor replied.

"That's why there's nothing with using him for some favors."

"You really changed."

"What did they call it? Postpartum Depression? Sadly, this kind of disease can not be diagnosed 30 years ago. If I have known that, perhaps my relationship with Kazir will be much better."

Postpartum depression (also called PPD) is a medical condition that many women get after having a baby. It’s strong feelings of sadness, anxiety (worry), and tiredness that last for a long time after giving birth. These feelings can make it hard for the mother to take care of herself and the baby. Elizabeth tried to touch the wineglass but decided to retreat her hands.

"I endured another 15 years of suffering taking care of the kids even though my feelings for them were non-existent. Once the kids were old enough to understand, I knew that was the right time to end our relationship."

"You should have filed for divorce first instead of cheating on me. Perhaps our separation would be much better if you did that."

"Fufu, Victor, I intentionally did that to break your heart. I blame you, Kazir, the God, and possibly Aaron for all of my suffering."

"Elizabeth, you need to contact a Therapist."

"Is that an insult? But I don't care. I will do whatever I want. My daughter wants to be an actress and I will do my best to give her a beautiful life, something that I was robbed of."

"And you will use Kazir to do that?"

"Of course. Just like what I said, he is useful."

The two had eye-to-eye contact before Elizabeth chuckled and stood up.

"There's no reason to continue this conversation. You already know my intentions, it depends on you if you're going to tell Kazir about me. By the way, thanks for the monthly alimony, I used it to buy expensive stuff. Keep them going."

She patted his shoulder before leaving the restaurant, seductively swaying her hips. Some men even looked at her ass the whole time she strutted out of the place.

Victor Grey was left alone on the table. He sighed and rubbed his forehead.

Talking to his ex-wife was very tiresome. It would be a lie if he was not affected but he only felt pity. He could not believe that the woman he loved became a much worse bitch.

If there was something good, Victor realized that he didn't love the woman anymore. Perhaps it was time to think about himself and find his true love.

But before that...

Victor pulled out a recording pen inside his suit. He clicked the button and listened to their conversation.

Between the mother and the children, Victor decided to side with his children. He would protect his son no matter what.

Comments

Ok just for info on the legality of recording a conversation. The details vary by state, but if you are in a public place you have no expectation of privacy. I can get more into it but the story has allot already written. That said this recording is legally admissible if they are in a restaurant. Now if you were in a private room? Then no.

This part is really dragging on

ABDI ALI

can't wait for the mom drama and romance to end. Im starting to forget what this story is about.

CosmicUniverse

This chapter was really meh. Past and present tense mistakes everywhere and idek. It's like that chapter with his mother and sister abusing their maid. But I prefer the chapters where they don't take part so it's fine
