Hollywood What If Chapter 222

Kazir didn't expect that the middle-aged woman was actually an agent and from CAA at that. 

Kazir rarely visited CAA so he didn't their agents that much, aside from famous ones such as Kevin Huvane and Pat Kingsley. 

Kazir extended his hand and decided to accept the business card. He passed it on to Erica Mendez and the assistant put it in her pocket. 

Claire Gilmore was a bit disappointed that Kazir never bothered reading her contact info, but she kept her smile. 

"I'm Jewish just like you, Kazir. I hope we can have a cooperation."

"Okay..." Kazir nodded. 

'... That's awkward. She basically used her race to make an impression.'

Kazir was never close to his Jewish side because his Mother was never there for most of his adulthood. Besides, his Mother never took him to any Jewish gathering. 

"Sir Lucas."

"Just call me George."

"Then, George, I have to leave now. It's nice to meet you, haha, I just want to greet you and tell you that I'm a fan. I apologize if I disturbed your conversation."

"Kazir, it's not that bad. George and I are just having a mild conversation." Claire explained. 

"Then, I'll take my leave, Claire, George, and--"

Kazir glanced at the young Natalie Portman and he paused when he realized that the young woman was staring hard at him. She had this dreamy gaze in her eyes. 

"Natalie, right?"

"Ah, Y- Yes! Take care, Director."

The woman suddenly blushed and stuttered. She didn't expect to meet a hot guy today, someone who oozed with confidence and humility. 

Kazir Grey didn't know what happened and didn't bother thinking too much about it. 

What he didn't know was that Natalie Portman was lovestruck... Natalie Portman met a lot of handsome men in the industry but Kazir Grey had this serious/boring/out-of-this-world aura... As if the man never treated himself as part of this timeline. She couldn't explain it well. 

One thing was sure, she was interested in him. Kazir's appearance checked all her needs for a man. Furthermore, Kazir was a successful man who created box office movies in the past few years. He was a famous guy. 

If there was one thing that Natalie Portman was sad about, it was the fact that Kazir Grey was never a playboy and never liked attending parties. Meaning, that their chances of meeting again were low. 

Another thing was that Kazir Grey had his principle. He would never have a relationship with a young woman like her. Natalie Portman deduced it based on the man's actions and the rumors related to him.

Her gaze followed the man who left the building with his assistant. For some obvious reasons, her heart was beating faster. She unconsciously touched her chest, feeling her heart palpitating. 

This sensation was strange, yet she didn't want to forget about it. 

"Nat, are you okay? Your face is red." 

Claire who was standing next to her asked her client worriedly. 

"Me? Yes, I'm fine Claire." 

Natalie Portman smiled and tried to hide her emotions, and her blushing gradually disappeared. However, her heart was still beating fast. 

"I'll try to talk to George, you can wait for me at the entrance."

"Thanks, Claire."

A few minutes after Claire talked to George Lucas, the agent studied her client who was staring out of nowhere, perhaps thinking about something. 

Claire sighed and approached Natalie. 

"Natalie, let's go."

"Alright."

"I apologize if you have to see it. You see, it's my job to make sure that you'll never be bullied and taken for granted. You're still young and I have to protect you. Star Wars is a culture and it's your biggest chance to be famous."

Claire had to be shameless so that her client would have better screen time. She believed that Natalie was a talented girl. 

For that, Claire would never hesitate to use her race as a Jewish to get a better impression. Perhaps she was taking advantage of that but she had to. This industry was brutal to small people. 

"I understand Claire. I'm thankful for your hard work. I promise you that I'll do my best in this project. I love Star Wars too."

Natalie hugged her agent, she knew that her agent took all of the brunt just for the betterment of her clients. 

... While doing that, Natalie Portman could not forget about Kazir. His appearance earlier really shook her to the core. 

Perhaps this was a "Love At First Sight" for the young woman.

"Muah~"

Angelina Jolie playfully blew a kiss in front of the mirror. She fixed her makeup and lipgloss her lips. She was confident that Kazir would notice her lipgloss. 

After all, Kazir would always take a peek at her lips. It was actually fun playing with the director. 

"I'm sure he will like it."

Angelina Jolie and Kazir Grey met a few times at the parties. Most of the time, Angelina would take the first move and converse with the director. She noticed that Kazir loved staring at her pouty lips. She loved that about him, and she knew that the director was attracted to her. 

However, after many encounters, the man never did a thing! 

He never asked for her number. He never invited her to his apartment. He didn't even try to hug her or force a skinship!

This made Angelina mad at the director. If she didn't know that Kazir was attracted to her, perhaps she might believe that the director was indeed gay. 

However, out of nowhere, she received an invitation from Grey Pictures! She didn't expect it at all. 

Using this opportunity, Angelina decided to prove herself as a woman. That she would have the beauty and power to seduce a stoic man like Kazir Grey. 

She didn't know if fate was playing with her because Angelina just divorced her ex-husband, Jonny Lee Miller, and was suffering from depression. 

She admitted that she was going to use Kazir as a way to move on with her ex-husband.

[Yeah, I might add Natalie Portman in the story, but not now. She needs to be older, over 20 years old at least. Someone like Kazir will never take a teenage girl seriously.]

[I just googled that Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton married in 2000, so the actress is possibly single at this point in 1999.]
