Hollywood What If Chapter 194

"Um, excuse me. You're Cameron Diaz, right? Can I get your autograph? I- I like your movies!"

A young woman, perhaps in her college years, approached Cameron Diaz with a pen and paper.

"Oh sure, honey." 

Cameron Diaz lowered her sunglasses and smiled sweetly, agreeing to give the young woman an autograph. 

Cameron Diaz decided to take some time and have fun alone. She was shopping, with sunglasses to keep her identity. She just finished 'cuddling' with Kazir. She actually hoped that Kazir would join her shopping but the man was busy, as always. 

Cameron Diaz had two reasons why she was wearing sunglasses. The first was to prevent people from recognizing her. Second was to hide her tired eyes... She didn't have enough sleep last night. She did her morning make-up but it was better to be sure. She didn't want to hear that a tabloid gossiped about her haggard face. 

"I watched your movie, The Bourne Identity, and it's amazing!"

"Thanks."

Cameron Diaz gave her the autograph and left. She didn't want to stay in the same spot or she might attract more people. 

She decided to enter a famous clothing shop to buy a pair of sexy bikinis. Her demeanor was very poised and she was exuding confidence in her every move. 

Three days already passed after the release of The Bourne Identity. In the month of August, The Bourne Identity might have been the only successful movie released. 

On Friday, August 13, 1999. The first day of The Bourne Identity grossed $13.73 million.

On Saturday, it grossed another $14.73 million. 

On Sunday, it was $10.68 million. 

The first three days of The Bourne Identity grossed $39.15 million. It was an obvious success. 

Only a few movies this year had a good performance just like The Bourne Identity. Only a few had grossed more than $30 million on its first three days. 

With that as a basis, most people in Hollywood believe that The Bourne Identity would maintain its performance. 

Since there was no heavy movie release this week aside from The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Identity naturally won first place in the weekly box office ranking. 

The saleslady saw Cameron Diaz's demeanor and immediately understood that the woman was a big shot. At least it seemed that she could buy expensive stuff without any hesitation. Probably a woman who could earn 7 figures every year. 

"Hello, Ma'am. How may I help you."

"Where is your underwear section?"

"Let me lead you there, Ma'am." The saleslady said with respect. She had a quota she had to meet. 

Cameron Diaz started choosing the best pair to grab Kazir's attention. She smirked imagining Kazir's reaction once she showed her "outfit."

While looking for some sexy lingerie, another woman came out of the fitting room.

"Miss, I'll take this dress."

Reese Witherspoon smiled at the saleslady. Her fame was getting better and more people recognized her. Still, she wanted to go shopping at least once in a while. 

"Thanks, Ma'am. Do you want to wear it right now?"

"Yeah, I'll wear it." 

She passed the credit card to the saleslady before cutting the price tag. 

Reese Witherspoon looked around and her face turned solemn when she saw Cameron Diaz. 

"Look like you are shopping as well."

Cameron Diaz smirked when she Reese Witherspoon. The two women didn't like each other. 

Reese Witherspoon took Cameron Diaz's role in There's Something About Mary. Because of this, Cameron Diaz didn't like Reese Witherspoon. 

As for Reese Witherspoon, she didn't like Cameron Diaz because she was dating Kazir Grey. Perhaps she was jealous. 

"That's right."

Reese Witherspoon maintained her smile and walked away. There was no reason to stay in this store since she already paid. 

"Wait a minute, which do you think will Kazir like between these two bikinis?"

Before Reese could leave, she was stopped by Cameron Diaz. 

Cameron Diaz showed two pairs of bikinis and they were all sexy and provocative. 

"..."

Reese bit her lip and walked away, not giving a response. 

"Fufu, I guess I'll buy these two then."

Cameron Diaz was elated to see that Reese Witherspoon was affected. As expected, she liked it winning. 

It was fun watching Reese Witherspoon's reaction when she showed her the two bikinis.

The whole month of August was dominated by The Bourne Identity. There were some movies that had good performances but they were nothing compared to The Bourne Identity. 

"Wooh! The movie is really cool no matter how many times I watched it! Can't you believe how Jason Bourne appeared out of nowhere like he is a ninja!"

"Yeah, I agree with you." 

Billy and Wallace came out of the theater. This was the third time they watched The Bourne Identity this month. Every weekend, they would watch it to refresh their memories. 

Even though almost three weeks already passed, the attendance rating of The Bourne Identity per theater was still amazing. In their theater alone, almost 70% of seats were occupied. 

"Excuse me, Sir. Can we take some of your time to answer our questionnaire? We are from CinemaScore."

Billy and Wallace agreed and they already knew what answer to write.

"A+"

They rated The Bourne Identity A+. 

After compiling the questionnaires from different theaters, the CinemaScore rated The Bourne Identity as A-! 

This was a high rating! Only one level below A+! 

With that rating, Hollywood understood that the audience loved The Bourne Identity. After all, this rating was tabulated based on their answers in the questionnaires. 

Not only that, even the rating of The Bourne Identity on IMDb was 9.3! The fans rated it high. Of course, this rating would change in the long run. Perhaps The Bourne Identity would stabilize on 8.1 IMDb rating.

These two actresses are my crushes and they aged well, still beautiful even in their late years. So yeah, you can choose between the two actresses.]
