"So let me get this straight and repeat what you said."

The couple was sitting straight, quite serious about their situation. 

"You, Calix Romoel, went to Junian because you are the guard of the prime minister to negotiate the problems between Junian and Dellia. Then you delivered the DVD tape to Lou and she was happy when she watched the video."

Calix and Lou became nervous. Lou's father repeated their explanation and they felt hearing it from the 3rd party. 

"After that... You had sex. Is that right?"

"That's right..." Calix nodded, holding Lou's hand. 

"After you had sex with Lou, you returned to Dellia. You just recently learned that Lou is pregnant. You rescued her from Junian using your connection with the army. That's the whole story... And you expect me to believe that?"

Lou's father had a serious expression. He looked at the two, crossing his arms and fuming in anger.

Lou was embarrassed because she knew that their story was a little bit questionable.

As for Lou's mother, she was sniveling because she was happy to see her daughter again. She heard what happened in Junian and it was terrible. She thought her daughter was hurt.

Lou started wiping her tears because she missed her parents. 

"Okay, as long as you are okay, I'm happy. You're more important than any education. Besides... I'm excited to have a grandchild too."

The father sighed and accepted the situation. He could not change it anyway. Besides, a child was a blessing, not a curse. 

"I can't believe that my granddaughter will have a child! I'm going to be a great-grandmother!"

Nanny Lola could not help but smile.

Lou was happy when she realized that her family accepted her pregnancy.

After the incident, they realized how important life was. 

"However... I can't accept this man. Calix Romoel, I'm thankful that you rescued my daughter but I can't easily accept you. How can you do that to my daughter?"

Calix readied himself. He knew that this thing would happen sooner or later. In fact, he was happy that Lou's father reacted like this. It showed that Lou's father loved her. 

"Now that I think of it, are you two been in a relationship since four years ago?"

Nanny Lola narrowed her gaze and looked at the two. Since the start, she felt Lou and Calix were hiding something from her. However, she disregard it because their time together was very short. 

Yet now, she felt like the two were hiding something from her. 

"Nanny Lola, actually..."

Lou bit her lip, but Calix was there next to her. 

She felt courageous and she decided to tell her the truth about their relationship. 

"I see... So you two are actually in a relationship a long time ago."

Nanny Lola didn't know how to respond. 

"Kid, let's talk outside."

Lou's father stood up and gestured to Calix. 

"Dad, please don't hurt Calix."

"Lou, I'll take care of it."

Calix assured Lou and followed the man. 

The two men went out of the house. Lou's father lit up a cigarette. 

"Do you smoke?"

"No Sir." 

Calix never tasted cigarette. He tried using cigarettes last time when he was suffering from Backlash. He almost died from suffocation. Since then, he never holds a cigarette.

Lou's father felt awkward. He dropped the cigarette he was holding and stepped on it. 

"That's a good thing, smoking is bad for your help."

He faced Calix and looked at him.

"Honestly, I'm grateful that you saved my daughter. I'm just a simple office worker and I don't have any influence in the army. I begged the Department of Foreign Affairs but they are stuck too."

His expression was sad as he remembered how he kneeled in front of their department. He did everything he could just to see his daughter again. 

"However, I can't let my daughter marry a man like you. You have to prove yourself first. And by the way, my daughter will live in our house."

"I understand that you love your daughter but I have to decline. I want to take care of Lou."

"This kid... Okay, let's respect Lou's decision on this. If she wants to live in our house, then you have to back away."

"Yes Sir."

The two had a handshake. Lou's father felt like Calix was the type who wants playing around with girls. He could not trust him. However, he could see that Calix deeply loves Lou. 

Or perhaps Calix was just Lucky that Lou's family accepted the situation easily.
