Hollywood What If Chapter 118

[Author's Note: This is my own summary so I'm not sure if everything is right since I watched Taken two months ago.]

[Bryan Mills, a retired agent who had a daughter. His ex-wife married a rich man and his daughter was living with them.] 

[With his normal status, he wanted to buy a karaoke box for her daughter for her birthday. He knew that his daughter wanted to be a singer.]

[On his way to the store, two people were sitting at the table. They were talking about a movie budget. Their conversation blended in the background so only a few recognized what they said.]

"Is this a cameo? Kazir and the Producer are talking."

Nicole Kidman Cruise weakly muttered. Everyone was watching seriously because the atmosphere was too heavy. 

Note that the reason why people watched this movie was because of the influence of the sex/human trafficking incident a few days ago. 

"I think so. This is the first time I saw Kazir on the screen. He is tall so he looks like a buff guy who can beat a person in a boxing match." Tom Cruise responded. 

"Hm." Nicole Kidman Cruise nodded. 

'Tom, I don't know why you said that but I'll just nod my head. Let's watch the movie first.'

[At the party, Bryan Mills met his ex-wife and daughter. He gave his present but he was easily defeated by the stepfather who brought a horse as a gift for Kim Mills.]

[Bryan had a job in a security agency. Together with his retired friends, they work as bodyguards for celebrities. Last time, he protected a famous singer against a crazy fan.]

[After that party, a few days later, Bryan was called by his daughter to talk. Kim Mills wanted to go to France to watch Art Exhibit.]

[ As a father, Bryan felt like it was not good for a young woman to travel to a foreign land with her one friend, Amanda. But because of his ex-wife's words, he was convinced and let his daughter leave the country.]

"Who's that woman?"

Nicole Kidman frowned. Even though Brianna Evans didn't have a pretty face, she had the aura of a queen. She looked around and realized one thing, most of the audience was staring at her without knowing. 

As an actress, Nicole Kidman realized that Brianna Evans might be a troublesome opponent. She had the power to attract the attention of people with her acting alone. 

In fact, even her husband, Tom Cruise, was staring intently at Lenore(Brianna Evans).

Nicole Kidman bit her lip and squeezed the man's hand. 

"Hm? Are you okay honey?"

"I'm fine." She smiled. 

[To make sure that Bryan could contact Kim, he reminded her to call him every day.]

[The two young girls, Kim and Amanda, went to the terminal and flew to France. Bryan didn't have an idea that Kim was actually lying. She didn't have any interest in going to Exhibit Art, she was going to watch a concert of her favorite band.]

[When Kim and her friend came out of the airport, they met a handsome man named Peter. The man was a gentleman and caught Amanda's heart. However, this man was actually a scouter. Someone who scouts a potential target to kidnap.]

[Amanda told Peter where they live and they were the only ones in the house. That information was the cause of their suffering.]

The audience clicked their tongues because of the obvious plot. However, this kind of thing was the reason why they were here in the theaters. To watch movies like this. 

"Kids, you shouldn't talk to strangers. Even if they are handsome."

"Yes, Dad."

This movie was a good method to educate young women. They shouldn't believe people easily. 

[Bryan Mills waited for his daughter's call but she never contacted him. So Bryan decided to call her instead. After a few minutes of ringing, Bryan connected to the call.]

["Dad. Let me go to another room. My friend is listening to loud music."]

[Kim went to another room. There, she could see her friend dancing to the music through the window. Kim had a conversation with her father but it didn't last long.]

["D- Dad, something is going on!"]

[At the window, she saw her friend getting abducted by a group of men!]

"This kid has a nice performance."

The higher-ups of Paramount who attended the premier saw Scarlett Johansson's emotions. Even though young, the girl showed that she could act. 

[Kim started panicking and realized that she was in danger.]

["Oh my God they got Amanda." Kim trembled.]

["What?" Bryan sensed that something bad was going on.]

["Okay honey, did you meet anyone? How about the airport?" Bryan started rummaging through his belongings.]

["P- Peter"]

["Peter who? Did he know where you're staying?"]

["He ride a cab with us." Her breathing became ragged. "Dad... They are coming. Dad, I'm scared" She started sobbing.]

["Stay focused, Kimmy. Go under the bed. Now, I'm going to say something important... They are going to take you." Bryan closed his eyes.]

["No." Kim whimpered realizing the hard truth.]

["You have five important seconds. Live the phone on the floor. Shout everything that you see, their appearances, hair color, eyes. Everything that you see."]

[Through the phone, Bryan heard the steps of the kidnappers.]

Even the audience was silent the whole time, waiting for the suspense. 

[Just then, Kim screamed as she was pulled out under the bed. She started screaming. Bryan listened with a serious expression as his daughter was abducted.]

Just like Bryan Mills, the fathers in the audience had awful expressions. 

[Suddenly, someone took the phone. It was one of the kidnappers. With frustration, Bryan Mills said the iconic line.]

["I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."]

And that was the beginning of a meme...
