Hollywood What If Chapter 110

When Kazir said it, both Michaels realized his intention. Kazir was not interested in money, he had another motive.

Both old men looked at each other. Then Michael Eisner put down his glass of wine and crossed his arms.  

"... What do you want?"

"Chairman Eisner, I want to lower the price by a million. But I have a very small request."

'Small request my ass. Your grin is too wide that you look like a devil.'

The old men realized that Kazir Grey was not that simple. 

"It's very simple... I want you to kick the pest out of your company. I heard that pest is crawling around and crawling around your administration. I'm worried that the pest might cause for you, Chairman."

"..."

Michael Eisner understood Kazir's intention. He was old and experienced. 

'So he wants me to kick Harvey Weinstein from Walt Disney.'

Kazir didn't say anything obvious but Michael Eisner easily understood his words. 

"... You have to understand, deciding this kind of thing is troublesome. The pest might fly and mess around. Give me a week. I'll think about it."

"Then, thank you Chairman for giving me the chance to talk to you."

Kazir bowed his head and left the private room. 

When Kazir was gone, the two old men sighed. 

"I thought we were cunning but that guy is too calculative. He probably expected this meeting and planned his move."

Michael Ovitz muttered. He felt like Kazir Grey had a clear goal for this meeting. He was listening all the time and found that Kazir had an understanding of the situation. 

"Indeed. I didn't sense any nervousness from him." 

Michael Eisner nodded. 

They were just trying to buy a script, yet they received a terrifying proposal instead. 

That man, Kazir Grey, was trying to convince them to cut off Harvey Weinstein from Miramax. 

"It's understandable since Harvey Weinstein is one of the people who caused trouble to Kazir."

Michael Ovitz added. 

"Ovitz, I can see that you have a positive opinion of Kazir Grey. What do you think about him?"

"The reason why I like him is because he signed a contract with CAA. Simple as that. Even though I'm not the President of CAA anymore, I still prefer to work with them than WMA."

Michael Ovitz was kicked out of William Morris Agency and he had a grudge against the company. He founded CAA together with the others and slowly build the agency. 

Of course, he would never help WMA in destroying Kazir's career. When the scandal started, Michael Ovitz did his best to maintain his neutral position. 

'Phenomenon and The Hangover were having a collision at that time so Walt Disney agreed with Harvey Weinstein's decision of destroying career.'

Michael Eisner thought. There were two sides of the coin and he knew the reason why Walt Disney joined hands with WMA. 

However, lately, Harvey Weinstein was getting an eyesore. 

"Harvey Weinstein is getting closer to the shareholders. He is trying to solidify his position." Michael Ovitz reminded.

"On top of that... He contacted Roy Disney."

When Ovitz stated that, Chairman Eisner became serious. 

In Walt Disney, there was only one person who could interfere with his authority. It was the Disney Family, to be precise, Roy Disney. 

"The Disney Family already lost their control over the company and you already got the highest authority. But let's not forget that Disney is own of the major shareholders of Walt Disney. It will be troublesome if they started acting."

"I understand."

Michael Eisner could not agree more. Walt Disney of the Disney Family was already gone. It was Walt Disney of Michael Eisner now. 

Still, the chances of the Disney Family taking over the company was obvious. 

"If Harvey Weinstein is siding with Roy Disney and trying to form an alliance with the shareholders, it will be bad for both of us."

President Ovitz was hired by Chairman Eisner so they were on the same side. If one of them was kicked out, then they would lose a huge amount of strength. 

In this timeline, the two friends had a better relationship. Perhaps Kazir indeed changed the timeline. 

"The only thing stopping us from expelling the Weinstein brothers is because of their influence in Miramax. If we recklessly kicked them out, Miramax might stop functioning altogether."

From the moment Walt Disney extended their hands to Miramax, it was already clear what their intention was. Miramax was getting stronger and the Big Six realized it very early. So the Big Six did their best to prevent Miramax from getting better. 

The Weinstein brothers were broke at that time, forcing them to sell Miramax to Walt Disney.  

To be honest, Michael Eisner had enough evidence to send Harvey Weinstein to jail. He knew all of his dirty deeds. The only thing that was preventing him from doing so was the consequences. 

As much as possible, he wanted to kick Harvey Weinstein once Miramax was stable. The company was still in the process of growing. 

If there was another thing to consider, that was the fact that Harvey Weinstein was Jewish. Just like them. 

'It's crazy because Kazir Grey is Jewish as well.'

Yet the two sides were trying to sabotage each other.

"For now, let's think about this seriously. We can't kick out Harvey Weinstein because he is still useful."

"I understand. I will try to keep getting notified about his relationship with Roy Disney."

The two old men had an understanding. It was hard to choose between Harvey Weinstein and Kazir Grey. 

Harvey Weinstein was a talented manager. Even though he was a bad guy, it was the truth that he managed Miramax to where it was now. 

As for Kazir Grey. It was obvious that his talent lies in his directorship. He could make good movies, particularly comedy.

"Kazir's new project is an action movie, right?"

"That's right." Michael Ovitz nodded. 

"What a waste... If he chose a comedy movie, I will not hesitate to sign a contract with him. Even thriller movies like Se7en are not a problem. But an action movie? Does he even know how difficult it is to film an action movie? Many accidents can happen when filming an action movie."
