The crisis that the Kingdom of Junian underwent was slowly overcome. The Kingdom of Junian had strong Vindicators and they were the first to eradicate the zombies.

They were confused at first. But they immediately adjusted to the changes and eliminated the zombies by crushing their heads. 

The zombies had a strong virus but they were weak overall. They could not use their TAs and they only based on physical strength. 

However, after this crisis, the citizens of Junian met another one. Apparently, the neighboring countries received damage from the Cannon and there were casualties. 

Junian tried to defend themselves but the other countries didn't believe them. Junian sounded justified by telling that the Cannon was infiltrated. They identified the people who infiltrated the Cannon, they were people from the Council of Torment. 

Even though Junian had evidence, the other countries could not easily forgive them. In fact, Ancas was preparing for war. They didn't even bother hiding it. Unlike Dellia which survived the Cannon, two cities of Ancas were eradicated. 

They didn't care if the mastermind was the Council of Torment. Ancas already had a grudge against Junian and they wanted to settle it. 

Even Desmonda and Carrillo were gritting their teeth right now. Their suffered major damage from the Cannon. Their citizens were not asking for any reparations. They were asking for revenge. 

War.

War was looming over the Eastern Continent. The Cannon of Junian had killed millions of people. 

To make the matter worst... The Royalty never asked for forgiveness. Instead, King Baboy announced Martial Law and prepares for war. They started doing massive recruitment for soldiers. 

"Haaah... Haaah... These people, they really left me there."

Shoujo Ramune was panting as she rose up from the ground. Her appearance was dirty, almost as if she swam in the sewage. Her hair was a mess and her battlesuit had so much damage. 

However, she successfully completed the mission. 

"The Council of Torment."

She realized that the Council of Torment had reasons why they were trying to free the Demihumans. 

Shoujo and Franco(one of the twelve Bishops) fought the Pope of the Church of Amore. It was a tough battle and Shoujo almost died so many times. 

It was fortunate that Pope Slavko's TA didn't work on her. She didn't know the reason why that happened but she was unaffected by his spell. 

If not for that, maybe Shoujo was already dead. While she was facing Pope Slavko, the followers led by Puti infiltrated the dungeon and freed the Demihumans. Some of the Demihumans escaped by running to the endless maze of secret passages. 

Shoujo thought that her mission was already over... However, a powerful tremor almost destroyed the dungeon. 

Shoujo sensed a terrifying creature under the dungeon and she was scared. Because of her instinct, she decided to run away after freeing the Demihumans. Franco came out of her mouth and left together with Puti. 

It was a tiring mission and Shoujo kept running away far from Melbed just to make sure. 

"Prince Diane knows my secret. I have to leave this country."

To be honest, Shoujo was sad that her identity was found. If she became a wanted criminal, it would be hard for her to keep her status as a famous actress. 

But still, it was better than dying. 

Shoujo sighed and started moving. Once things calm down, she knew that she would be hunted. She had to leave the country before that happened. 

Despite being tired, Shoujo started running. 

"Calix..."

She muttered unconsciously. Even though she was trying to act tough, she was actually worried about Calix. 

She wanted to meet him... And maybe have sex with him. Well, that thing had to wait. First, she had to leave Junian.

There were four countries affected by the Cannon. 

The military country of Ancas. 

The second-rate countries of Desmonda and Carrillo. 

The last one was Dellia. 

Out of the four, only Dellia successfully defended the two shots of the Cannon. 

They have Obice, Bronal Robinson, and Esmeralda Margaret to deflect the shots. If not, Capitolium might already be long gone. 

Because of this incident, Dellia started preparing for the inevitable war. 

Not only that, the four countries wanted to meet... They wanted an alliance to end the reign of Junian. They felt like the ancient kingdom was getting cocky. 

"I don't have a problem. Let's go with that plan."

Esmeralda grinned and faced the three leaders. This was a temporary meeting to talk about the alliance. Next week, they would meet in person in a protected location. To talk about the war. 

Even if Junian was not responsible for the deaths of millions of people, the leaders were too mad to listen to it. 

Everyone already knew it... War was coming. Many people braced themselves. This might be the start of the power change in the Western Continent. 

"Kukukukuahahahaa--!!"

While the alliance of four countries was shaping, the real leader of Junian woke up from his slumber. 

He was very close to attaining Godhood, perhaps only two hundred years at best. Yet the resurrection of the Demon King caused him to open his eyes. 

The first human King was from the old Elven Kingdom of Hulian. He had an idea about the Demon King. He never met the Demon King and he was not alive when the Demon King was rampaging on earth. 

However, the presence he got was terrifying. He knew it, deep in his bones, it was useless to become a God while the Demon King was alive. He was mad, he felt like everything was fruitless. 

The Demon King should not wake up in this era considering that this was just the start of humanity after the vast destruction. Yet it happened. 

"Someone woke up the Demon King."

It was obvious. 

"But the thing that makes me mad is that some people infiltrated the dungeon and saved more than 60 percent of the prisoners. The food that I saved for so many years--!"

He slammed his foot and the ground cracked. It was frustrating. Some of the prisoners even went through the secret passage. 

"The alliance. Come, come and I will destroy your countries! I can do it to the Elves, then I can do it to puny humans too!"

His pure black eyes were shining under the shade of the night. 

Junian would never ask for surrender. It was the start of the war.
