Hollywood What If Chapter 93

The woman in front of him was still young. But it didn't change the fact that she was already beautiful. 

However, Kazir was unaffected by the beauty. In fact, at this party, many women gave him flirty gazes. He didn't show any reaction. 

There might be a simple reason as to why. Kazir Grey might be afraid of women, especially beautiful women. He had a hard time trusting them.

It was already a miracle that he agreed to Reese's seductive advances. He rejected the woman thrice before they reach their current relationship.  

So as much as possible, he wanted to keep his feet away from women who might bring him his downfall... Particularly young women. 

"Mister Polanski, so you're just asking for a favor. Helping Miss Eva Green to gain a foothold in Hollywood, is that it? I have to be honest with you, I'm just a director. I might be currently a hot director because of the success of my last two films. But I know that film companies will easily drop me once I made an irreconcilable mistake. I believe my help will not be that much."

"Kazir, you don't have to worry. I'm not asking for much. Eva's father helped me when I was down and I want to help Eva achieve her dreams. I recommend her to gain steady fame in France but Hollywood is not that bad. I hate to say it but the European film industry is slowly losing its sharpness. I'll be happy if you let Eva get some roles."

"... One of our cast backed out after she realized that her role is too dark. Is Eva interested?"

"What do you think, Eva?"

Roman Polanski turned to the young girl. 

"Mister Grey, can I know the role first?"

Hearing that the role was too dark, Eva Green had to understand if the role would bring her success.

"You're a kidnapped woman who was used by criminals. The protagonist saved you from the sex den because he wanted to ask you about his missing daughter."

"Will I have any naked scenes?"

"You're underage, so of course not. As much as possible, I didn't want to trouble the Children's Association."

In fact, they have another group of people from the Children's Association. They were responsible for making sure that Scarlett Johansson would study under her tutor. 

Underage actors were required to receive tutors while they were on the set. Furthermore, they have maximum working hours that the production crew could not violate. 

'Thankfully, the people this time are tamed and reasonable.'

Grey Pictures didn't have a problem with anybody. Especially when Grey Pictures was still looking for a film company that would distribute the movie. 

'Adding another underage is not a problem. Besides, I heard the laws in this country are different from the USA. Maybe they have milder laws.'

"... I want to take the role."

Eva Green scaled the pros and cons. She deemed her chances of going to Hollywood were very small. So she decided to gamble. Working with a famous director was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for her. She might as well take the role. 

"You need your parents' approval first."

"Thanks, Mister Grey."

The woman smiled and happily left the place to find her parents.

His interaction with the attendees was simple. They chatted. Some of them were interested in him, especially after they heard from Kazir Grey was the director of Napoleon Dynamite and The Hangover. The movies that got huge box offices. 

He even met Sophie Marceau. But because of the status of the woman in France, Kazir just greeted her and stayed away after. 

Sophie Marceau was one of the cast of Braveheart. She didn't have a strong influence in Hollywood but it was different in Europe. In this place, she was a famous actress. 

"What did you get?"

Kazir asked Harold who was standing next to him. They were silently sipping alcohol in the corner. They already got what they needed. 

"Some of them asked us if we need shooting equipment. They can promise us a 20% discount. As long as we add their shop to the movie."

"An advertisement?"

"That's right." Harold nodded. 

"I see... Let's think about it later."

Kazir thought that this condition was not bad. Unfortunately, they already have cameras and equipment related to filming. 

"This one, I'm sure you are interested. I met a person who can help us with buying old cars."

There was a car chasing scene in the movie and they need old cars for that. Kazir wanted one or two cars for explosion purposes. 

"Call them later. If they are pricing it right, we can rent and buy old cars from them."

"Okay."

After achieving their purposes and meeting new people, the two decided to return to the hotel they were resting. The crew had work tomorrow and it was bad if the producer and director returned with a hangover. 

Just like Roman Polanski promised, a company contacted the crew and promised to bring extras for a good price. 

Extras were important because they were needed in most public scenes. Grey Pictures didn't want to receive a lawsuit if they accidentally filmed a real civilian and added them to the scene. 

Just like that, the shooting restarted again. This time, they were shooting at night. 

"We have to shoot most of the difficult scenes this time."

"Sigh... Renting a huge yacht is expensive. Are you sure you can finish shooting within seven hours?"

They only have a few hours to finish the scenes related to the yacht. To be honest, Harold was skeptical. 

He already experienced Kazir's fast shooting but it was different this time. He was going to shoot an action stunt and they need to execute it meticulously. This was a dangerous stunt so Liam Neeson had to give way for his body double... The part where he had to jump then roll onto the yacht to infiltrate the place.
