Hollywood What If Chapter 64

[I apologize if I can only post one chapter today. If I'm being honest, I'm really in a state of laziness. My brain just wants me to lie down. It tells me to be lazy and watch nonsense YouTube videos instead. And I'm fucking mad at myself. So I will try to write around seven chapters tomorrow... Wish me luck guys.]

"Kazir... I think we have a problem."

Salvatore Barlowe directly went to the editing room after he realized that something big was going on.

It was already a month since the filming ended. Kazir Grey already finished 3/4 of the movie. He was just waiting for the Sound Director to complete the dubbing and such.

Warner Bros already had a schedule for the movie. It would be released in July although they were still trying to find the best weekend.

"What is it?"

Kazir glanced at his agent. Kazir had dark circles around his eyes because he didn't have much sleep these days.

"It's about your ex-wife."

"Are you talking about Cassandra?"

Kazir frowned. He didn't expect to hear news about his ex-wife.

"What did she say?"

"This..."

Salvatore passed a newspaper to Kazir. It was a tabloid under small a news press.

The headline was very simple. It stated that Kazir Grey was beating his wife. That was the reason why Cassandra left him.

"... Is that all?" He asked.

He thought something big happened.

"What do you mean "Is that all?"? Kazir, this is bad for you!... Tell me, please tell me you never beat your wife."

Salvatore was sweating and his complexion was pale. He didn't want anything bad to happen to his most profitable client. That would be devastating.

"Don't worry Salvatore. I never hurt my wife. Heck, I never even stayed in the house most of the time." Kazir shrugged.

"You're not lying, right?"

"What do you think? Do I look like a man who will hurt a woman?"

"No. But I know some men who act like gentlemen who are actually wife beaters."

"Oh come on, Salvatore. I'm not Sean Connery." He chuckled.

"I- I haven't even said a thing!"

Salvatore stuttered because he knew the truth. However, Sean Connery was a client of CAA. He was the first 007 James Bond actor.

Despite his age, he was respected and he could get many roles. His roles were usually an old gentleman. And it was true, Sean Connery admitted it himself that he slapped his wife in an interview.

"Of course, I'm just joking. Sean Connery is a great person."

Kazir said with a hint of sarcasm.

"Kazir, do you have a plan?"

"Contact Warner Bros. This situation can be useful for us."

Kazir was not stupid.

"Okay."

A few minutes later, the important people who participated in the production of The Hangover showed up.

The atmosphere was actually awkward because no one expected that Kazir had a dirty stain. Some of them were looking at Kazir with doubt.

Terry Semel looked at Kazir seriously. He didn't expect that the director would be caught in a scandal.

"I suggest that we stop this scandal before it became worst."

Producer Enrico Pusi was the one who had it worst. This project was under him. If The Hangover flopped horribly, he would lose all of his credits. He might get fired. He was having a hard time sleeping, to be honest.

So the fact that this scandal showed up made him lose his temper. He was fuming. He didn't know if he should "talk" to Kazir or find his ex-wife.

"We can contact Cassandra Hoecrap and settle it quickly."

He added.

The atmosphere in the office was very dark. Salvatore was sweating and afraid.

Terry Semel looked at all of them. He had been the CEO of Warner Bros for more than five years.

'Out of all of them, Kazir Grey is the calmest.'

Despite being in the middle of a fire pit, Kazir Grey didn't show any nervousness.

"Kazir, did you expect this thing to happen?"

"To be honest, Terry. I never thought that Cassandra will do something like this. However, I know that she will do everything to get more money from me."

What he said was based on his past life experience.

"Seeing that you're calm, I believe you have a plan."

Terry Semel narrowed his gaze. He was like a hawk that was ready to claw his prey. If Kazir's plan was stupid, he would never cooperate with Kazir ever again.

'This scandal might be his downfall.'

"In my opinion, we should let the scandal boil. In fact, I want Time Warner to join the scandal."

"Kazir, are you being stupid!?" Enrico Pusi raised his voice.

"Hold on Enrico... I say let Kazir cook. What's your plan?"

Kazir and Cassandra had a year-long divorce case. Within that year, they tried to tear each other's faces.

When Kazir realized that Cassandra was cheating on him. He decided to pay an investigator to stalk his wife.

'It's a miracle that I reincarnated after the day I received the investigator's investigation.'

"This is the answer."

Kazir put a videotape on the table.

Terry Semel immediately called someone to bring a VHS and Television to watch the video.

"Where did you get this?"

"I'm gathering evidence for my wife's infidelity. I spend more than 3 thousand dollars just to acquire these. I'm impressed by the length that the private investigator did just to acquire this recording."

"I see..."

The video started and everyone watched it seriously. Cassandra was in a restaurant with an old fat guy. Their faces were clear, easy to identify.

"Isn't that Bobby Dork?"

Enrico Pusi muttered. He recognized the old man because he was a Producer too.

The conversation was quite simple, Cassandra and Bobby Dork were just flirting. However, based on how they act, it was clear that have strong intimacy.

"This video was from two years ago, around August 1994."

Kazir added.

The video progressed.

Then, all of them realized why Kazir showed the video.

In the video, Cassandra announced how she could get more money from Kazir. She would say to the court that she was beaten and raped.

"I guess giving your house is the best solution to get away from a delusional like her."

Salvatore said and everyone agreed. This kind of thing was frightening because society would always believe a woman's words.

Kazir actually used the video as evidence but the court didn't accept it. So he still lost his house in his past life.

Need to work around procrastination? The "morning you" is usually optimistic. The "mid-day you" likes to go-with-the-flow and can be talked into something. The "afternoon you" is generally a settler and doesn't want to do much of anything but sit on the couch. So, how do you get around that? Don't want to go to the gym? Get up at 4-5 am and work out, then shower there on your way to work. I have to be at work at 7am, so this is about the only way I feel up to being somewhat healthy, since I am tired after work. Just make sure you go to bed around 8. This is also how I deal with needing to work overtime. I can get an extra hour in before anyone shows up to knock out all the little requests that interrupt the big time consuming tasks throughout the day. I've found that just staying later isn't nearly as productive because I'm already in a "meh" state by 3pm. So, want to find some time to write, but don't have the motivation? Keep a list of ideas that you want to accomplish before you sleep so that they are off your mind. Then, knock a chapter or more out early in the morning before or after breakfast. When I work from home, I have found that dealing with the morning bowel movement after breakfast while typing out e-mails is particularly cathartic and productive. Laptop ftw! Then, just get on with your life and type out another chapter during lunch since you've had time doing other things to have ideas churning in your subconscious. That's how I deal with creative stuff that I enjoy. Surround them interspersed with all the boring life obligations so that your creativity doesn't feel like an obligation and job. Instead, it's a reward that you allow for yourself to distract you from the mundane. That's why you started writing to begin with, right? Setting up a Patreon just makes it feel like a job. So, do something to make your subconscious keep thinking it's not.

Matthew

Note: Do you guys know tips to keep motivated. Because there are stances that I want to lay down and do nothing.
