Hollywood What If Chapter 63

The movie premiere of Twister was released on May 10, 1996. Unlike Se7en where Kazir didn't have the right to join the red carpet, Warner Bros was generous and gave him his first time attending a red carpet. 

"Haaa, haahh..."

"Reese, you have to calm down. This is not even our movie. We're just guests."

Kazir chuckled as he glanced at the woman next to him. His partner on the red carpet was Reese Witherspoon. 

"Kazir, I'm wondering how you can maintain your calm. This is different from attending a premier night in other countries. Napoleon Dynamite didn't have a premier night red carpet in the USA. There are hundreds of reporters from different newspapers to catch our images. I'm afraid I will make a scene."

"I just feel like there's no reason to be nervous."

"You silly..."

She sighed. What did she expect from a man who didn't even react to Children's Association berating?  Kazir had strong control over his emotions. 

'Sometimes, I'm wondering if he should be an actor instead.'

She thought. 

"Trust me. Nothing bad will happen."

Kazir held her hand and squeezed it. 

"Thanks."

She didn't regret choosing Kazir. In terms of maturity, the man in front of her was much ahead. He was not easy to scare, as if he experienced something worst.

'Sometimes I'm wondering how broken he is to be unaffected by something bad.'

"We're here."

The limousine stopped in front of the theatre. The two came out and they were greeted by hundreds of camera flashes. 

Kazir and Reese maintained their smiles and walked ahead. 

Then, they stopped at one checkpoint where reporters could take pictures of them. 

Then, the coordinator signaled them to move on. 

This kind of event usually had coordinators to assist. 

This time, the two stopped at the checkpoint where reporters could interview them. 

Warner Bros already contacted a reporter to interview Kazir. 

"Director Grey, what is your opinion on Twister?"

"I believe Twister will be successful. It will be part of the top 5 movies at the worldwide box office this year."

"Wow~" The reporter reacted exaggeratedly. Then, she asked another question. 

"When can we see your next project, everyone is hoping that you will create another funny movie."

"Of course, it will be released this summer."

"I can see that you have Miss Reese Witherspoon next to you. Do you guys want to tell us about your relationship?"

To be honest, Kazir and Reese already expected that they would be asked about their relationship. 

They were already briefed by their agents. Warner Bros and their agents formed publicity for The Hangover.

"We're just friends."

Kazir and Reese smiled at the camera before going into the theatre. 

Their agents actually tried to convince them to announce that they were officially dating. Everyone in the crew knew that Kazir and Reese were "close".

However, both of them disagree. They didn't want to use their relationship as publicity hype. In the end, Warner Bros didn't have a choice but to use a different way to promote the movie. 

'As much as possible, I don't want to destroy my privacy. I want to maintain my life as simple as is it.'

Although he knew that this was nothing but a dream. Once you become famous, you will lose privacy.

"I received three scripts last week, I wonder if you can give your opinions on them."

Reese whispered when they entered the theatre. There were already hundreds of people inside. Some of them were having conversations, probably related to Hollywood. 

"You can visit my office tomorrow."

"... Tell me. Have you ever gone to your apartment? I feel like you're always in your office."

"It's a waste of time to go to my apartment."

"What do you mean? Your apartment is only a few blocks away from your company."

Reese teased him. 

"Kazir, it's nice to meet you."

Tom Cruise showed up and greeted them. Nicole Kidman was standing next to Tom Cruise. Their height was too different, Nicole Kidman was too tall for Tom Cruise. 

However, no one would try to say that in front of Tom Cruise. The superstar didn't like to be called about his height. 

Even Kazir was taller than Tom Cruise. Kazir was over 6 feet. 

"It's nice to meet you too, Tom. I heard that your movie will be released in July."

The two had a handshake. 

"Paramount already started their promotion. The shooting was actually quite difficult. Thankfully, I have a stunt double to take most of the dangerous stunts."

Famous actors would always have insurances. Obviously, insurance companies would never let actors partake in dangerous stunts. 

"I want to invite you to watch Mission: Impossible."

"I will surely attend it."

After that, more actors started greeting Kazir and Reese. To be honest, the actors were interested in Kazir. 

Now that Kazir became a successful director, many actors wanted to contact him hoping that they could cooperate with him. 

Enrico Pusi and Terry Semel greeted him too. 

A few minutes later, Twister started. The movie cost $88 million plus the $4 million publicity. 

Starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, the movie was about a Tornado that destroyed everything that blocked its path. 

The movie was interesting. Reese Witherspoon and Kazir Grey had fun watching the movie. 

In the first three days of Twister, it earned $41.05 million. This meant that the movie was successful. 

It defeated its rival in its first weekend and became the box office champion of the week. 

While Warner Bros was having follow-up publicity for Twister, Kazir Grey spent most of his time in the editing room together with Brody Hamilton. 

"If this pace keeps going, we can finish the post-production in June."

Brody had a keen sense when it comes to this kind of thing. 

Kazir agreed with what Brody Hamilton said. 

Unfortunately, while Kazir was busy with the post-production of The Hangover, rumors started circulating in Hollywood. 

It was stated that there was a certain Director who beats his wife out of his depression...
