The rent in Manila is very expensive. It's fortunate that we met Mrs. De Guzman. She gave us a home.

Her apartment building might be old but that was our house for almost six years. That's where Roman and Sophia were born...

I'm actually not lying. I begged my wife to go to the hospital but she said that she can give birth inside the house. So we called a midwife and Penelope birthed our kids in the house.

I can say that the kids grew up healthy. I don't know if giving birth inside the house has a connection with that though.

Penelope said that her Mother gave birth to all of her siblings inside the house. Corazon, my Mother-in-law, said that the hospital is expensive. She said that doctors don't care about the patient's health. It's all about the money...

Corazon has a point.

There's a reason why many people want to be doctors. Not because they want to save lives. Instead, they want to earn money. Doctors have a big salary.

Anyway, I'm getting out of the topic. All I can say is that rent is expensive.

So I recommend Santiago to use the shop as his place instead.

I know I might be a hypocrite... But even my wife told me to let Santiago sleep in the shop instead.

Penelope said that Santiago is already an adult and he should experience how hard it is to live in society.

Penelope already knew that Santiago wanted to go to college. She didn't have a problem with her brother going out of the province. She believes that men should be tough and strong for their families.

"So here I am, waiting for Santiago to show up."

Santiago didn't buy a cellphone because he felt like it was a useless expense. So the only way I can do is wait for his arrival without knowing the exact time he will show up.

To be honest, I'm here for almost three hours now and I still can't see him.

It was already four weeks since the shop was renovated and we can start the business. I'm just letting the air circulate so that the shop will smell nice.

Our first month in the new house is amazing. Penelope already bought seeds for the garden. As for the kids, they already adjusted to their new home.

Furthermore, our neighbors have kids too. Roman and Sophia interacted with the children and they became friends.

... I still don't know the name of their friends because I'm busy these days. I made sure that the renovation went well.

I bought the appliances that are missing in the shop. I bought groceries for us as well. I took my kids to the mall too.

I'm really busy but I make sure that I spend some of my time with my family.

I keep doing my daily mission too. Because of my healthy body and Energy Pill, I don't get tired much... I have enough stamina for the whole night. My wife is getting so clingy and I'm not complaining, I'm actually happy.

"Hm."

My thoughts are disturbed when I realized that a bus entered the terminal. I watched every passenger that came out of the bus until I saw my youngest brother-in-law.

"Santiago!" I yelled.

"Brother-in-law!"

Santiago smiled when he saw me. He was looking around, he felt strange looking at the surrounding.

"Brother-in-law, the capital city is amazing. I know that Manila has so many large buildings, but I can't believe that they are so BIG! I feel like I'm an ant in front of these buildings."

I just chuckled.

There are many differences between the province and Manila.

They have pros and cons as well.

Unlike Manila, Cavite is milder. It's near the capital but it doesn't have air pollution.

"Let's go, your sister is waiting for you."

"Yes!"

We walked out of the terminal and reached the parking lot.

"Brother-in-law... This is."

"Yup, this is my car."

"You bought a car? Can 100 thousand pesos buy a car?"

He was looking at me with his jaw dropped.

"No, this is an old car that my brother gave to me."

"I- I see."

He didn't know what to say so he just awkwardly entered the car. He was carefully sitting on the seat.

"Close the door," I said.

"Yes!"

He gently closed the door...

"Close the door with strength so that it will not open while we're traveling."

"Okay... Um, brother-in-law, how do you open the door?"

"..."

It seemed that this is the first time that Santiago use a car.

I instructed him and he closed the door right this time.

The atmosphere was a bit awkward because Santiago kept looking around.

"You're going to be used to Cavite. Take your time to know the city."

"I will."

He nodded, quite excited.

When we reached the house, I found my kids playing with a girl who was around 4 years old.

"Pwetty sister! You're so cool!"

Sophia was fangirling the little girl.

To be honest, I still don't know the girl's name because Sophia calls her "Pwetty Sister".

"Hehe, don't worry Sophia. Once you grow bigger, I will teach you how to fold papers and make paper boats!" The little girl said with enthusiasm.

"Yay!"

"We're here."

I announced and entered the house.

"Dajjy!"

When Sophia heard me, she walked wobbly and hugged my knee again. I chuckled and carried her.

"Say hello to your Uncle."

"Hello, Uncle Santiago!"

"Wow, Sophia remembers me!"

"Hehe."

Sophia giggled and mano'ed both of us. Mano is a way of showing respect to the elders. It's a culture that slowly died when the new century arrived.

"Hello, sir..."

The little girl greeted us too.

"Hello," I answered.

Sorry kid, I still don't know your name.

"Uncle."

Roman showed up and greeted Santiago too.

Then, he glanced at the four-year-old girl. The girl scoffed and walked away from Roman.

... At that moment, I realized that Roman already met his wife at such a young age. Although I only realized this thing when they started dating.

Eh? That's called spoiler?

Oh come on, this a predictable stereotype of cliches. Childhood friends all the way.
