Hollywood What If Chapter 48

The party was nice. Kazir had a conversation with Tom Cruise. He realized that the actor was actually not bad. At least he was different from what he thought. 

Because Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman Cruise was the host of the party, they have to talk to each visitor. So their conversation ended quickly. 

At least their first meeting was positive. 

'Tom Cruise is filming Mission: Impossible this year.'

He was not sure if the movie already started filming. But he heard that the project was already approved by the Paramount. 

CEO Brad Grey of Paramount might be salty right now because Kazir decided to work with Warner Bros. 

Well, Warner Bros' offer was very sincere so Kazir naturally chose it. 

"Hey, who's that man?"

Because Nicole Kidman is an Australian, she invited her countrymen to the party.

Mel Gibson asked Russell Crowe next to him. Mel Gibson is an Australian who starred in Mad Max and Lethal Weapon. 

He was the leading actor, director, and producer of Braveheart as well. That's right, he filmed and acted in his own film. 

That's actually a difficult job. 

"Him? I think he is Kazir Grey."

Russell Crowe was not sure. 

The man was just standing in the corner, looking around. He was not showing any impression, as if he was just an air. Kazir Grey was like a man who was watching a movie, he was not there at all. 

"So that's Kazir Grey..."

Mel Gibson raised his brow when he heard a piece of interesting information.

"Mel, you are clearly drunk. Don't do something that you will regret."

Russell Crowe reminded him. They are both Australians and their circle in Hollywood is not that strong. 

At least not enough to face the power of the Jewish circle.

"Don't worry Russell, I'm sober."

He chuckled and approached the man. 

His movie was defeated by Napoleon Dynamite in the annual box office list. 

He wanted to know what kind of person was the one who directed the movie. 

As an actor who wants to transition into a director, Mel Gibson wanted to hear Kazir's opinion. 

"Hello, Kazir Grey."

"Good evening Mister Gibson."

"Nah, just call me Mel."

Mel Gibson has the accent of Australian when he talked. Perhaps the alcohol awakened his mother's tongue. 

"Kazir, congratulations on the success of Napoleon Dynamite."

"Thank you. It's an honor that someone like you recognize me." 

As an unknown director, Kazir was happy to see that the famous Mel Gibson knows him. 

Mel Gibson was actually surprised at his reaction. He thought that Kazir would act arrogant. 

Suddenly, he felt bad for himself. He talked to the man for a few minutes before leaving. 

"How was it?"

Russell curiously asked. As an actor, having a good relationship with directors is the best thing. 

"Humble..."

"Hm?"

"He is too humble."

How can he lash out at a person who kept saying that he is a fan? 

Kazir started listing all of the movies that Mel Gibson starred in. It was impossible to be mad in front of a man like Kazir. 

"I see. Then I guess he's not that bad."

"..."

Mel Gibson didn't answer. He was still bitter that his movie was much worst than a comedy movie. 

His only chance was the Oscar. 

This was one of the reasons why he attended this party. To make connections and ask to vote for his film. 

Furthermore, Kazir said that Mel Gibson would win Best Director at Oscar and Braveheart would win Best Picture!

That sentence completely changed his opinion about the guy. 

Being ashamed of himself, Mel Gibson excused himself and left with a blushing face. 

How can he hate someone like that? Probably never. 

While Kazir was having his time sipping champagne, the others were looking at him as well. 

"Nicole, you mean that guy is the director of Napoleon Dynamite?"

Naomi Watts asked Nicole Kidman Cruise. 

"That's right. I'm actually surprised that Tom knows him long ago. Apparently, Kazir is a crew member of Rain Man." Nicole nodded. 

Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman are known friends. They are both Australians too. 

"..."

Naomi kept glancing at the man. To be honest, she finds him attractive. 

Kazir had a fit body. He is handsome too. 

From his appearance, he is the type who takes care of his body. Definitely a plus point from Naomi. 

So in the end, Naomi bit her lip and approached him. Unlike Australia where she is famous, Hollywood is a battlefield. It's hard for her to get big roles. 

"Hello, I'm Naomi Watts."

"I'm Kazir Grey. It's nice to meet Ms. Watts."

"You can call me Naomi. I heard that you're a director." Naomi tucked her hair behind her ear. 

She is beautiful a woman. One of the fantasies of so many men. 

And right now, she is talking to Kazir Grey. 

"That's right. I'm the director of Napoleon Dynamite."

There was no reason to keep it a secret. This circle is and everyone knows everybody. 

"I see... Do you mind telling me about yourself?"

"Well, I'm from a broken family. Raised by my father."

Kazir didn't know where to start so he decided to talk about his family. He later realized that his introduction was concerning. 

"That's sad to hear."

Naomi showed her acting, expressing that she was sad. 

As for the other women, they clicked their tongues when they realized that Naomi Watts was talking with Kazir. 

Most of these women are small-time actresses. 

Every one of them understands that the fastest way to stardom is by having a relationship with a director. 

Out of everyone at the party, Kazir Grey is the most calm and collected one. He is handsome. And he is talented as well, considering that two of the movies he wrote have more than $100 million at the North American box office. 

They were glaring daggers at Naomi Watts, but the woman didn't care. 

This is Hollywood. The competition for women is far deadlier than for men. They will smile in front of each other, but each of them knows how they strongly want to tear each other's faces.
