RDD 71



Now, if you're going to ask me if I'm disappointed with the recipe. I'm clearly disappointed. 


I thought I will read some secret sauce or something. All I received is nothing but a simple burger recipe.


"Hayst..."


"Honey, are you okay? You're sighing a lot early in the morning."


Penelope approached me and squeezed my arm. She was worried that I was sighing.


"Nothing, I'm just thinking about the burger recipe that I will use."


I replied somberly. 


"... Is it because of last night?" Penelope crossed her arms and raised her brow.


"Huh?" 


I tilted my head in confusion.


"Is it because of the kids? Are you sad because they sleep with us for two nights?"


"Huh? Of course not. I love our kids. If they want to sleep with us, sure, I have no problem." I answered honestly from the bottom of my heart. 


My children are still young and sometimes they want to sleep with us, especially Sophia. 


As for Roman, heh, I will kick him out of our room once he turned 10. He is too old at that age and he needs to sleep on his own.


"Is that so?"


She looked at my eyes, trying to discern if I was lying. She smiled when she realized that I was sincere. 


"Well, I will talk to the kids later if you want." She said while squeezing my arm. 


And Oh Boi, I sure damn well what she's saying. 


"Wife!"


"Kyah-!"


I grinned and embraced my wife. Penelope yelped in surprise and giggled. 


We stayed like that for a few minutes before resuming our duty. Hmm, my wife smells so good. 


She doesn't like using perfume in the house so this is her natural scent. All I can say is I'm addicted!


I put my nose on her neck and smelled her!


"Fufu. Honey, you're tickling me."


We were giggling like young kids, embracing.


Then, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Our room has a bathroom installed so we didn't have to leave the room. 


Our plan for today was to visit the empty shop at the entrance of FCIE. We already ate breakfast and we had a bath as well. 


After we finished fixing our appearance, we left the house. 


Sophia was excited as we walked in our neighborhood. She was mesmerized by the different architectures of the houses. 


Our house is inside a wealthy subdivision and most of the families here are above middle class. Maybe not super rich, just enough to buy two cars and such with their bank account, I think.


While walking, I realized something...


This place is goddamn huge that it will take us an hour just to leave the subdivision! Kilometers of walking!


Car! We need a car!


"Penelope..."


"Yes, Honey?"


"I think I need to carry the kids once they get tired."


"Yeah, I think so." She laughed. 


"If you want, I can carry you too." I teased. 


"Dream on Keith Castillo. You're going to break your back."


"I can break your back... in the bed." 


I answered sarcastically and I received a cold gaze. 


Anyway, I really carried the kids after a few minutes of walking. 


Thankfully, I have eaten an Energy Pill. I can carry the kids with no problem. 


However, I realized that Penelope was the one getting tired. 


The hot sun+walking kilometers are definitely a bad combination. 


I pursed my lips. I felt bad for my wife. 


... Maybe I can apply for a loan? I'm not going to buy a car, of course. A motorcycle is already enough, I can turn it into a tricycle. 


Fortunately, we met a woman who has a car. She offered a ride to the entrance of the subdivision and we gladly agree. 


"Thanks pwetty lady!" Sophia waved her hands so adorably. 


We thanked the woman after leaving the car. 


Now that we reached the entrance, we can take a jeepney to take us to FCIE. 


FCIE. 


Also known as First Cavite Industrial Estate. 


This place was one of the reasons why Cavite became prosperous. The amount of money FCIE generated every year might cost a billion pesos. 


When FCIE was built, it gave jobs to the people of Cavite which made many families rich. 


In fact, the very first construction project of my grandfather was in FCIE. He was tasked to weld steel fences in one of the factories. 


Since then, grandfather's construction company started receiving project after project until he had enough money to invest in Car Wash and Car Repairs. 


Then my Father and Uncle took over and founded Tire Factory and Corn Chips Factory. 


... Now that I think about it, I feel like I miss something important. 


I only realized it when I reached the shop. 


We ride a jeepney to reach our location. After a few meters of walking and I found the shop.


"Dajjy?"


"Honey, why do I feel like this situation already happened?" Penelope whispered next to me after staring at something. 


"Dad, I don't have my bat."


Roman what are you even talking about? 


My family and I were shocked to see another shocking event. 


"That's right, I told Sean that I will go to the shop today... That bastard, he betray me."


I gritted my teeth.


My vision clearly caught a BMW car. But that was not the focus of my vision, I was looking at the man inside the BMW car. 


The man has black hair and blue eyes, just like Sean and I. 


However, he was wearing glasses and he has a mustache. 


If I have stubbles, then this man has a clean face. 


"Dajjy, he looks like you." Sophia was surprised.


"Sweetheart... Let's greet your Uncle."


I didn't expect that I will meet my oldest brother right before visiting the shop for the first time. 


Jeremy Castillo fixes his glasses after seeing us. He didn't have a change of expression, he was just staring at us. 


"Brother."


"..."


What did I expect? Jeremy shut his mouth most of the time. 


I felt awkward and didn't know what to say. Especially when Jeremy doesn't talk much. 


Seriously, why is my family have this gene of being quiet in every generation? 


Is one of my ancestors mute or something?
