Our two days in this bungalow house were mind-blowing. Two days are not to adjust in this huge place.

Because my wife is a clean freak, she urged me to help her clean the house.

As the man of the house, of course, I have to take responsibility for the heavy jobs.

While my wife was wiping the window glasses to make them clear, I was busy pulling grasses out of the soil.

Roman is helping me by putting the pulled grass in a single location.

As for Sophia, the baby walker helped me to stand. She was running in the living room freely. There's a huge space for her to play around. In fact, I can hear her giggles outside.

"Water, Honey, Roman?"

Penelope approached us with a liter of cold water. I drank a glass of water without pause because I was thirsty.

I've been pulling these grasses the hours earlier and my daily exercise mission is already completed. So far, I have 5 points and I can buy the burger recipe later.

"What's your plan for the garden, wife?"

"Hm, I want to plant tomatoes, bell peppers, and lettuce."

She was smiling as she said it.

"..."

I thought she wanted to plant flowers, but I guess I'm wrong. Well, fresh vegetables are nice things to have.

I saw Roman frowning while drinking a glass of water. It seems that he didn't like the idea of planting vegetables. The whole existence of vegetables is kryptonite to kids.

"What? Mommy, I thought you wanted to plant fwowers?"

Sophia heard our conversation and approached us with her walker.

"Honey, flowers are useless." She carried Sophia into her arms.

"I remembered when your father gave me roses every day. I always throw them because they are useless."

"Pfft--"

I almost cough out the water I drank. Of course I remember that time. She always smiled bitterly whenever I gave her flowers. I thought she didn't like me.

It was already months when I realized that she preferred practical gifts than flowers.

"Well, I heard that roses can be cooked and eaten but I didn't know how to cook them."

"Are they delicious, Mommy?" Sophia was curious.

"I don't know."

"Mommy, I want fwowers in the garden. I want to see pwetty fwowers!"

"Well, maybe we can plant sunflowers then. I think they are edible."

As expected of my wife. The farmer's blood is strong in her.

"Yay!"

Without knowing Penelope's intention, Sophia was happy because she would start seeing beautiful flowers.

Once she grew up, Sophia would realize that there are no flowers in the garden for decorations. Everything is for practical use.

Since then, she was embarrassed to invite her friends to the garden. The garden turned into a small farm instead.

As long as my wife is happy, I'll gladly give her what she wants.

The family worked to fix everything that Sophia didn't like.

In fact, she frowned as she looked at the color of the paint in Sophia's room.

"This room needs to be well-lit, why did they use dark yellow paint?"

"That's wight! I want pink! Pink!"

The two women protested. Especially Sophia, she likes pink very well.

"Dajjy..."

"Of course, sweetheart. We'll paint your room pink!"

I didn't even hesitate. When Sophia looked at me with her teary eyes, I instinctively agreed.

"I didn't even agree." Penelope raised her brow and I averted my gaze.

"Wife, your hair is pink, and I love pink because of you," I said smooth like butter.

"... Anyway, as long as it's light pink, I'll agree."

She sighed and agreed in the end. She was clearly blushing but I didn't ask why.

"Kids, do you want to see our shop tomorrow?"

"Shop? Yes Yes! I want to see it!"

Maybe Sophia likes adventure because she is excited to see new things.

"..."

As for Roman, he prefers staying in the house. Maybe he still hadn't adjusted to the new place.

Unfortunately, Penelope will never let Roman stay in the house alone.

Roman dejectedly returned to his room after realizing that there was another road trip tomorrow.

If there's one thing I realize, I think my son is an introvert.

Strange because he was excited to go to the province last time. Anyway, I don't know how to read a person's mind.

When the night arrived, Sophia and Roman were still not used to their new rooms so they slept with us again.

... I'm an adult.

... But I need my alone time with my lovely wife.

... I'm just a man.

... I love my wife.

I kept muttering that while Penelope was telling bedtime stories for the kids.

She was giggling as glanced at me. Clearly, she likes to tease me.

Left with no choice, I went to the bathroom.

No, I'm not going to masturbate. I don't need to.

Instead, I opened the Shop and immediately bought the burger recipe. My decision is already firm from the moment God slapped me with a pamphlet.

"Ground beef, salt, and pepper... You gotta be kidding me. The recipe for the burger patty is simple as fuck."

"Bread, lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, and ketchup... What the heck?"

I thought the recipe would be the so-called 'secret recipe. But I was damn wrong.

The recipe was very simple. Even the procedure/instructions were expected.

I don't know what to say. I felt like I was scammed. I spent 5 points for this shit.

"This is... a burger recipe."

Indeed. Simple as that.

I sighed and returned to the bedroom. I saw the kids sleeping next to Penelope and I smiled seeing them sleeping peacefully.

Let's forget about the damn recipe and sleep, okay?
