After three days of checking the scenes that they could use to shoot, Kazir decided to return to Los Angeles.
When he came out of the airport, Renner and Harold. These two were his closest attendants. They had worked on three films that Kazir made, they were close friends.
They were all living in Hollywood hoping that they could be successful. Harold had a passion for art, especially making props. As for Renner, he liked shooting movies.
They were both talented and loved their jobs. Unfortunately, talent was not enough.
In Hollywood, where thousands of talented like them, they were dispensable. There was no irreplaceable in Hollywood, even someone like Spielberg. After all, there were many successful directors, such as George Lucas, James Cameron, and Michael Bay.
"Kazir, we already prepared the props. To be honest, it's not that hard to prepare them because our movie doesn't have any complicated scenes." Harold said when they entered the car.
"I bought 400 reels of 35mm Kodak colored films too. My uncle gave us a discount and only charge us 32 thousand dollars."
"Thanks."
Using Kodak film was the most loved method of filming before the 2000s. However, when digital cameras evolved, Hollywood started adapting digital cameras and films lost their advantage. Of course, there were still some directors who used films such as Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, and Christopher Nolan.
"How about the rental cameras?" Kazir asked.
"Just like I promised, I will rent four cameras for the shooting."
They still didn't need four cameras, they would rent them once needed.
"Harold post a casting in the Actors Guild. Especially the role of Napoleon Dynamite and Pedro, take the importance of these two. As for the other roles, we will see about it."
It was impossible to hire the actors in the original movie because they were still young at the moment. So Kazir decided to use different actors, he would not believe that there would be no one who could fit the role of Napoleon and Pedro.
'Just like I said, there is no irreplaceable in Hollywood.'
"I will," Harold promised.
Their meeting place was inside Renner's apartment. Out of all of them, Renner had it better. His family was running a business. If not because of his love for filming, perhaps Renner would take over his family's business. Yet, he decided to work on his Uncle's rental business instead.
"I just want to be clear, our budget is only 500 thousand and I don't want to spend more than that. If possible, we will try to limit our spending."
"I agree."
Both Renner and Harold had experience with working on a filming crew and every crew took the importance of their spending. They were doing business, the less money they used, the better.
"I already contacted the others and they agree with joining us."
"That's good. Although I only need 15 people at best."
"I understand."
Kazir and his friends started making plans for filming. Thankfully, Kazir already confirmed that Preston High School agreed with filming. They even signed an agreement.
As for the other locations, Kazir could rent a house for filming.

...
"Hayst..."
Ed Helms sighed. He just audition for a small role in "The Nutty Professor", but he received that his appearance was not inclined to what they needed. In the end, he never got the role.
He was just 21 and he hoped to become an actor, he knew that his age was young and people would not take him seriously. But hey, there was nothing wrong with trying. Perhaps he would get a role.
With disappointment, Ed Helms entered the Actors Guild and looked at projects posted on the bulletin board.
However, Ed Helms understood that the usual projects posted on the bulletin board were small-budget movies. He knew that he would never get a chance to earn money.
'I don't need money. As of now, what I need is opportunity.'
Heck, he would even agree to accept a role without salary as long as he could see his face on the screen. He was still young and he knew that what he needed was exposure... Of course, he needed money as well.
Ed Helms understood his situation very well.
"This..."
While looking for projects, he found a post stating that a production crew needed a young actor. The project was comedy. Except for a few pieces of information, there was nothing. The address and time were written under.
Ed Helms narrowed his eyes as he read the project. He pulled out a small notebook and copied the address. There was nothing to lose if he tried to audition.
Ed Helms decided to take this project. Small actors like him would have to work hard to achieve their dreams.
"Thank you, Miss Adams. You can now leave." Kazir said calmly.
"But Director, can I have another chance? I swear I will do it right."
"No, it's alright. We will call you once we decided."
"..."
The beautiful reluctantly left the audition room.
"What do you think of her?"
Knowing that they were the only people inside the room, Renner asked Kazir on his opinion about the young woman.
"Amy Adams fit the role but let's wait for more. We are not doing a marathon here." Kazir shook his head.
What he was looking for was a blonde woman who looked sweet and innocent. He wanted to see the actresses before deciding.
'I can't believe that I will see Amy Adams auditioning for my movie. It feels surreal...'
Harold called the next woman. Kazir slightly nodded when he saw another famous actress.
"Hello, I'm Reese Witherspoon."
Reese smiled sweetly. Both Renner and Kazir maintained their expressions.
"Reese, what you're going to do is simple, just say 'Your Mom goes to College?' in a surprisingly stupid way."
"Eh? Excuse me? O- oh, yes Director. I will do it!"
