Chapter 41




Eating McDonald's early in the morning was quite heavy so we decided to take it slow. 


"Honey, I think I saw a photo printing shop there."


While walking, Penelope tugged my shirt and pointed at the shop a few meters away from us. The shop had a tarpaulin that said that they accept taking pictures and printing them. 


"What do you think? Let's take a picture." She smiled. 


I was not sure if Penelope read my mind earlier or if it was just a coincidence. But I was happy to agree. After all, I want to take pictures too. 


"Kids, are you fine with taking pictures?"


"Pictuwes? Jajjy what is that?" 


Sophia was confused as she asked. 


"They are thick papers that print your image. Remember your baby pictures that we showed to you last time? We will get that."


"Wow! Okay okay! Jajjy let's go! I want evewyone to swee how cute I am! Jajjy quick?" 


We both laughed when we saw her reaction. It seemed that she was excited to see her face in the picture. 


"Let's go, Roman. This is a rare moment for us to take pictures." 


Penelope invited her son who was too absorbed by his Bulbasaur toy. 


We entered the shop. We applied for a quick print of the pictures. Fortunately, there were few customers and it didn't take a long time for us to enter the shooting room. 


"Ma'am, Sir, this our formal attire. You can choose what you want."


It was good that this shop could let us wear formal attire. If I'm not wrong, this entire process of photoshoot would cost us two hours at best. 


Penelope helped the kids wear clothes first. Roman wore a suit just like me while Sophia was wearing a cute dress. 


"Wow. Miss, you have nice skin."


"Thanks."


"I have to use my full strength to give you a total makeover!"


The makeup artist and my wife started talking. The makeup artist did her best.


'In my opinion, Penelope is already gorgeous.'


The makeup artist adjusted her hair and dress. 


"Honey, how are you doing?" I asked and stared at her after the makeup artist was done. 


My wife was...


My eyes trembled when I saw her. My wife was wearing a white cocktail dress and she looked stunning!


'Oh my God, I feel like my blood is boiling for some reason.'


If you're going to ask me what I want to do right now. My answer is simple... I want to have sex with my wife. 


I want to push her to the floor while she was wearing the white dress. I'm acting like a hooligan! Damn it!


My lips twitched for some reason as I stared at her. 


"Honey, are you okay? Why are you looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face?"


She asked me questions. She seemed confused. 


"No, it's nothing. I just want to say that you're beautiful."


I just shook my head. I didn't want to say that I'm thirsty over her. 


"Keith Castillo. You and your flattery." 


She rolled her eyes but she was clearly happy with what I said. 


"Mommy so pwetty?"


Sophia hugged her. 


"Mommy, carry~" 


"Yes, sweetheart."


"Looks like everything is ready. Then, let's start."


The cameraman guided us to the seating arrangement. I and my wife sat on the chair. Roman was in the middle, standing between us. Then, Sophia was in her mother's arms, smiling naturally at the camera. 


"Three two one."


The flashes of the camera came by.


Then, the cameraman told us to take another pose. 


This time, my wife and I were standing next to each other while the two kids were seating on the chair in front of us. We looked like a happy family. 


The cameraman was satisfied after taking a few shots. The photo shoot ended just like that and we returned the formal attire to the shop.


A few minutes later, the pictures came out and we received them. 


The whole photoshoot cost us a thousand pesos... Too expensive to be honest. But I didn't regret it. 


I saw my wife wearing a beautiful dress and I have pictures of it! Definitely worth it. 


The shop gave us the pictures together with the film. We could use this film to print the pictures if we want a bigger picture.


We received four 4x6 and three 5x7 inches pictures. The resolution was high and our expressions were clear. 


Our attention was on the pictures. It seemed that we were all satisfied. We looked like a rich family in the pictures, hehe. 


Especially, my wife, she was beautiful in her dress. I'm happy that the camera caught a glimpse of her beauty and imprinted it on these papers. 


'No one can beat the real beauty before me.'


I thought and glanced at my wife who was checking the pictures. As a woman, of course she wanted to see her face beautiful in the pictures. 


Based on her smile, I could guess that she liked them. 


"Then, let's go. We promised to buy Christmas presents for your cousins."


The day was early and we had enough time before finding Simeon in the city hall. 


'I wonder what is Simeon doing right now. He got his share of the money after all.'


The city had a mall but it only had three floors. But it was wide and we could see different kinds of shops inside. 


Because it was Christmas Eve, there were a lot of people. 


Walking a few meters, we found a place where we could buy presents for the kids-- a toy shop. Yes, I'm talking about the forgotten 'Toys R Us'. 


'I heard this company became bankrupt.'
