Chapter 34




Because it was still early and cold outside, I immediately brought back the kids. Washing their faces with cold water was going to get them cold... 


Anyway, when we returned, Penelope was already dressed up. A simple t-shirt and pants, nothing much. 


But in my eyes, my wife was beautiful as always. I smiled and approached her. 


"Honey, don't look at me like that."


"What did I do?" I was confused as I hugged her from behind. 


"You're looking at me like you're going to eat me." She whispered in my ear and I almost shuddered. I want to pounce on her and tore her clothes.


Unfortunately, the kids were looking and it was early in the morning. I have to control myself. 


'Perhaps the pill yesterday invigorated me. It seems like it has a long effect.' 


I hugged her tighter and kissed her ear. She chuckled and pushed me away. 


"That tickles."


"Hm, stay close to Simeon and your parents."


They were the people that I knew the most and I trusted. Unlike her other siblings, I felt safe when Penelope was with Simeon and her parents. 


"I know. I will try to stay away from Sister Señorita."


Penelope checked the kids and nodded when she found that their faces were clean. 


"Mommy, where awe you going?"


"I'm going to the Village Hall."


"What's Village Hall? Is that a bweautiful pwace, Mommy?" Sophia was still a young girl and she didn't know much. She would always ask us if she was confused about something. 


"No, sweetheart. In my opinion, Village Hall is a boring place. We don't usually go there unless we're sick and needed medicine. When the families had a problem, the Village Hall will try to help them fix the problem."


"Then why are you going there, Mommy? Is it because of Auntie Señowita?" Her face became sad, recall it what happened last night. 


"Sweetheart... No, it's not because of that."


"Then why?"


"I have to go there so that you can have food and toys. You want toys, right? Mommy will have money to buy you toys." Penelope giggled and pinched her cheeks. 


"Weally?" Her eyes brightened. Sophia's cute face had an excited expression. She was clearly happy to hear that she would have toys. 


"Can I go Mommy? I want to be with you." 


Now that would be a problem. Penelope looked at me, then returned her gaze to Sophia. 


"Sweetheart, you are getting heavy. Mommy can't carry you for a long time. You can spend your time with Daddy instead. Don't you love Daddy? You said that you always miss Daddy."


"Yes, I wuv Jajjy."


Oh God, thank you for giving me a chance to hear my daughter's love for me. This lifetime was worth it. 


I understood that once a girl grew up, they would slowly grow apart from her parents and became an adult. Until that time comes, I want to show my daughter that Daddy loves her.


"That's right. You can play games with Daddy." 


"Then, I will stay with Jajjy."


"You're my cute good girl. Mommy loves you~ My princess smells nice!"


Penelope started kissing her face, showering her with love. 


"Hehe, I wuv you too Mommy!" Sophia giggled as Penelope drowned her with kisses. 


... I actually feel jealous. 


Suddenly, I felt someone tug my shirt and I looked down. I found Roman standing next to me and pulling the hem of my t-shirt.


"Dad, I love you."


That was quite surprising. I did not expect that Roman would say it to me.



"What? Do you want me to kiss you? Is that the reason why you told me that?" I joked. 


I chuckled and rubbed his head and messed his hair.


He glared at me and let me ruffle his hair.


"Dad, I don't want any kisses from you. You look old and fat, I prefer beautiful women, such as Mommy, to kiss me."


As expected of my son. His preference was not that bad. 


'In fact, I want my wife to kiss me too.'


Still, I bent down and kissed his head. As a man, I knew very well that Roman would grow up and he would never let me kiss him again, even on his head.


It is what it is. Even me, I never want my Father to kiss me too... That would be gay, right? 


"Dad, don't ever do that again. You already mess my hair, and now you're going to kiss me? You're not a good guy at all."


Indeed, Men don't like kissing men, unless... 


Roman watched as the mother and daughter cuddled. 


"You're jealous, right? Go on, you can join your Mom and sister."


"En."


Roman nodded walked away from me and went to his mother. 


"Roman, my good boy. You are really handsome!"


"Mom, don't pinch my cheeks. My cheeks getting red because of you."


"Is it because your blushing?"


"No, Mom. It's obviously because you pinched my cheeks so hard."


"Bwother, let's pway!"


Despite the grumbling, Roman was having fun playing with them. 


I watched them play and a smile simply formed on my face. Watching them play was enough to make me feel blessed. 


That's why as a father, I have to work hard to protect their smiles. 


"Penelope, everyone is ready. Let's go."


"Yes, Mother."


A few minutes later, Corazon came in and called Penelope. 


"Mommy, take care!"


"I will, baby."


Before leaving, she kissed me on my lips. I almost licked her lips but that kind of smooch would be inappropriate for the kids to see. 


We followed them to the entrance and watched them leave. Because they were too many, they didn't use Simeon's tricycle. Only six people at best could fit in the tricycle.


"Be safe Grandma and Grandpa! I wuv you!"


Sophia waved her hand at them. 


"Take care, Aunties and Uncles!" 


She was enthusiastic and adorable that Corazon promised her a gift. No one could protect themselves against Sophia's cuteness.
