Hollywood What If Chapter 2

"Haam... Looks like it's time to get up."

Kazir yawned and checked his watch. To be honest, he didn't sleep last night. His mind was too active.

He was excited for unknown reasons.

Kazir checked into a motel to sleep a night. He was a freelancer director who was doing his best to hit a big project.

He was currently 26 years old and already had three movies on his resume.

'Although I created more than that since I'm from the future.'

He was confident in his experience.

"First let's check the Writer's Guild of America."

As Director and a Movie fanatic, Kazir already had a movie that he wanted to film.

He knew a lot of movies that would hit the box office and there was one movie that was available and that he could film likely.

'In this era, there are hundreds of movies and some of them have a budget of over 100 million dollars. But that's not my target.'

He knew damn well that no one would invest and let him direct a film with that budget. But Kazir was not affected.

'I had faced obstacles my whole life. I can say that my current predicament is not that bad.'

His target was a movie that had a budget of 30-40 million dollars.

"To be precise, my target is..."

.........

......

...

"Thank you."

Kazir smiled at the guard after he exited the Writer's Guild. He asked the people inside and confirmed one thing.

'The script is not registered. Which means that they are in the process of creation or still not created.'

Writer's Guild was the house of many scripts and they were one of the sources of Hollywood movies. The others were comics and novels.

"Great, now I know where to start!"

He laughed like a madman and people looked at him with confusion.

Kazir rented a typewriter and started his job. He had to create the script, proposal, and budget for the film. The Hollywood industry would laugh at him if he couldn't face them without these.

His fingers kept typing on the hard keyboard. The typewriter was a bit clunky and the sounds it made were repetitive but calming, at least for Kazir.

"... This."

He rubbed his eyes and looked at his script. Three hours already passed and he only wrote 5000 words.

"It will take me at least three to four days to finish everything."

But it didn't matter, Kazir was motivated. He easily forgot that he just divorced and his house was not in his name anymore.

Well, for him, these things happened already happened 5 decades ago and he already moved on. After living his life, he became much more mature and calm.

.........

......

...

In the office of New Line Cinema, the office was having a meeting about their plan for the next year.

They have to make a proper plan for the films that they have to release. They treat this very seriously as one wrong move might cause them bankruptcy.

"As of September 16 "The Mask" has 106 million dollars domestically and it's expected to go up. The performance of this movie is strong and everyone likes Jim Carrey's acting."

They were happy to hear their movie earned a great amount of money at the box office. They clapped, a simple celebration at the moment.

"Everyone, good job."

As the CEO of New Line Cinema, Robert Shaye was happy to see his company winning. Although the company was acquired by Turner Broadcasting System, his control over the company was still firm.

"Now, gentlemen, let's talk about our agenda today."

He looked at the board of directors and the people who had high positions.

..........

.......

...

"It didn't end well again."

Kazir drank the bottle of water. He felt hydrated after wasting his saliva trying to convince the people from 20th Century Fox.

He just left the building and the conversation was not good. He talked for a few minutes with one of the producers but the man didn't listen at all.

The producer just told him to pass his script to the management and they would call him if they were interested.

He understood their procedure very well. The company sugarcoated it but it meant no. They were not interested in his script.

'Everyone knows that they will never call me. They have thousands of scripts in their vault and most of them never became a film.' He laughed.

"Well, let's go to another company. I have three remaining targets."

Kazir already contacted the 6 Giant Hollywood Companies and they were not interested in his script. What they said was exactly the same-- 'Pass the script to the management and we will call you if we're interested.'

"I hope this company will agree. After all, this film was produced by them."

From the moment when Kazir regressed, he understood that the future would change. However, he wanted to maintain the timeline as original as possible.

"If it didn't work, then I will use Plan B."

Calix called a taxi. His car broke last time and it was still in the repair shop.

'Cassandra didn't fight to get my bumpy car because it's already old and she has her own car.'

That bumpy car was his only remaining property.

Half an hour later, his feet set in front of the New Line Cinema. The father of his film in the future.
