Of course, Calix didn't forget his mission. He has to find the missing daughter of Esmeralda Margaret. And the only thing he knew about the mysterious daughter was that she was a Dark Elf. Even her age was hidden by Esmeralda. 

'This long week vacation, I will contact one of the families in Melbed that has a connection to Dark Elves.'

Since he didn't have a clue, all he could do was start from scratch. 

'Esmeralda said that I can find her... But I don't know where, when, and how.'

He sighed while walking. He glanced at Lou who he was holding hands. The woman was fidgeting and trying to hide her blushing face. 

"Lou, do you..."

"Hm?"

"No, never mind."

He shook his head. He wanted to invite her to Melbed but he realized that he was currently on a mission. Lou might be caught in a predicament if he asked her. Besides, Lou's identity was a Dellian and it might cause a problem. 

The apartment was quite far but none of them was mad. They were happy to spend time together, holding hands and walking along the street. They prefer walking than riding a taxi, considering that some roads were under construction. 

"Here we are."

"... You live in this place?"

Lou was dumbfounded as she looked at the tall building before her. Her neck was already hurting as she looked up. Maybe because the building was too tall that Lou could not see the top.

"Oh, Oni you're here! Good morning!"

"Huh?"

As they went to the entrance, Calix found Oni Chichi exiting the building. He waved his hand and greeted her. 

The woman looked haggard and there were huge bags under her eyes. It appeared that she didn't get enough sleep. 

"Eh?"

Oni Chichi was dumbstruck, her feet paused, and she stared at Lucky(Calix). She didn't know why but her heart started beating fast as she realized that she was not dreaming. Calix was standing in front of her. 

Her eyes turned red. She thought something bad happened to Calix.

Calix was a nice guy and he treated Oni well. In fact, in the past few months that Calix was attending the University, his relationship with Oni Chichi became better and they became friends.

That's why Oni's chest felt liberated as she found the man greeting her with a smile. 

"L- Lucky--"

She almost run and hug him but her feet stopped when she realized that there was someone standing next to Calix. It was a woman. A beautiful lovely woman who was wearing a nice t-shirt and knee-length shorts. A simple yet elegant woman. 

Furthermore, Oni Chichi knew the identity of the woman. It was Lou Viola, her friend... 

She swallowed her saliva and her lips twitched as she tried to smile. 

"Oni!"

Lou Viola was happy to see her friend. She approached Oni Chichi and hugged the woman.

"Thank God, I'm happy that you are fine!" 

Oni flinched when she realized that Lou embraced her. Lou's feelings were genuine and she was glad that Oni was alive after the incident. 

"Y- yeah."

Realizing that she was acting suspiciously, Oni Chichi hugged her back. Yet, her gaze was on Calix who was watching them. 

"It's nice to see that you're fine."

Calix smiled. He had an amiable relationship with Oni and he sometimes asked her about things he didn't know at Horvart University. 

"Y- yeah, me too."

Her smile was a bit forced but Calix was not looking at her anymore. He was staring at Lou with a gentle gaze. 

Oni Chichi felt that her heart was getting crushed. Yet she did her best to smile. 

'Indeed... Oni, you have to remember your past. You don't deserve happiness.'

She bit her lip and weakly moved away from Lou after the hug. 

Lou wiped her tears and so does Oni. 

There was a teasing grin on Oni's face as she looked at the two. 

"So... You two, are you..."

She narrowed her eyes, studying them. Lou and Lucky were not that close, but now...

"Hm, let's see. I'm surprised to see you guys together. So did something happen these two days?"

"N- No, it's not what you t- think!" 

"I see," She nodded and glared at Calix. "Lucky T. Tiko, if you hurt Lou, I swear I will beat you. Do you understand?"

"We're just friends."

Calix smiled. He denied that they were dating because it might affect Lou's college life. He knew that he was not here to study but to find someone. Even if he wanted to say that he and Lou were in a relationship, he have to keep his mouth shut. 

He was doing this to protect Lou. 

"Humph! So be it! Anyway, I'm going to leave now! I have something to do! Bye-bye!"

She waved her hand and walked away. 

"Be careful on your way!"

"I will!"

After knowing that she was already far from the building, Oni clenched her fist as she walked. She felt that she missed something important and she deeply regretted it. 

Perhaps she should have been honest and said her feelings... Maybe she was afraid to be rejected.

"So Calix, why do you want me to go to your apartment? Maybe you thinking of something naughty. Huh, what do you think? Am I right?"

Lou teased Calix in the elevator. She could see that Calix had a reason why he wanted to take her to his place.
