The Vindicators immediately imprisoned the followers of the Council of Torment. They began torturing and taking information from them.

At the start, the followers kept their mouths shut despite experiencing excruciating pain. However, it was apparent that they would break too. 

In the end, they started singing what the Vindicators wanted. They learned that there was actually another person who infiltrated the Ancient Library and fought the Council of Torment. They gathered enough information, but unfortunately, they failed to get what they wanted the most. 

"So they don't know how they infiltrated the Ancient Library?"

"Yes, it seemed that only Puti knew the exact way."

Principal Lycan sighed. What he wanted was to know how they infiltrated so that he could prevent it from happening again. 

"Looks like all we can do is strengthen our security."

Berto Alb agreed to what he said. 

"What about the unknown person? What was his motive?"

"So far we don't have any idea. However, we confirmed that he had stolen a Chimera egg."

Unlike the Council of Torment who focused on books and writings, the unknown person stole an egg instead. 

"You can leave now."

Under the disappointment, the Principal's eyes were glowing deep. It was obvious that he wanted to retaliate. But the Council of Torment was always hiding in the dark and their movement was unknown to him.

Suddenly, while the Principal was having a gloomy day, his phone rang. He frowned when he found out who was calling him. 

"What is it, Pope Slavko? What? You want to talk to me? I see I see... So the Pig King is doing his job at least. Hah? So what if I said that he is a pig? He is so fat that he can't see his penis whenever he takes a piss! And why are you asking that I know that? Isn't it obvious!"

He growled.

The night passed and Lou opened her eyes. The place was quite noisy and people were walking around. 

She raised her head and realized that she was actually in the hospital. The place was busy because a lot of people were injured. 

She was actually clueless why she was here. Her mind was a bit jumbled and she felt that she forgot something important. 

The nurses just glanced at her and they didn't bother checking her. Lou wanted to ask them but seeing their reactions, she timidly closed her mouth. 

A few minutes passed and she jolted when she recalled something. 

'Calix!'

That's right, she remembered that she met Calix in the alley. Then Aberrants started attacking and kidnapped Calix but he returned, thankfully. 

She tried to stand up but she stopped when a male approached her. 

"I'm glad that you are fine."

Lou looked at the man. 

The man had bangs that covered his face. He didn't have any uniqueness but Lou clearly identified him. 

She smiled and wiped the tears that were slowly building up from her eyes. She weakly sobbed, she was happy. 

Calix stroked her hair and Lou smiled. She thought it was a dream but the truth was sweet as candy. 

"I'm sorry if you woke up in this place. I tried to negotiate with the doctors to let you rest in a private room but they didn't agree. They said that you are quite healthy and you just need sleep."

Calix was actually mad at that time and he wanted to fight the doctors. But still, he understood that he was being arrogant. As a man, he wanted the best for his woman. Since he had the financial ability, he wanted to give Lou the best that he could. 

But seeing Lou's tired face, he decided to steel his heart and let her rest in this congested place.

"It's fine. I'm alright now, thank you C-- I mean Lucky. Thank you, Lucky."

She blushed when she realized that she almost utter his real name. 

The two smiled at each other. 

However, the atmosphere became awkward because both of them didn't know what to converse. Lou was too shy to ask about Calix while Calix want her to take time and rest her mind. 

"So..."

"Y- yeah."

They didn't see each other for almost two years now and they want to have a proper conversation. It was already obvious that they had feelings for each other, still, it was quite embarrassing to talk about it. 

"Excuse me, this woman looks healthy and I checked that her vitals look fine. Can you please give this bed to another patient? There are people who need this bed more than her."

The old nurse said it with a condescending tone and Calix didn't like it. He frowned and tried to talk to her but Lou grabbed his arm instead. 

"Yeah, the other patient can have it."

She smiled at the nurse. 

"Lou you need rest."

"It's fine. The nurse is right, there are people who need this bed more than me."

Calix didn't have a choice but to give her what she wanted. Still, he glared at the nurse but the old nurse just shrugged. She was just doing her job. 

"Okay fine."

"C- Calix, what are you doing?"

Lou was flustered when Calix princess-carried her. She remembered that Calix carried her last night too. She was embarrassed last night and she was still embarrassed right now. 

"You are not heavy so you don't have to be afraid."

Calix assured her but Lou became shy instead. Her face was already red and she hide her face. 

Calix carried her out of the hospital. It was quite romantic, to be honest. 

"Tch. Fucking normies."

The old nurse who witnessed the scene clicked her tongue in annoyance. When she started changing the cover of the bed, she frowned when she found something mortifying. 

She looked behind her and realized that her white uniform was tainted with red blood. 

"Why? My period should arrive three days from now."

Her mood dropped again. She decided to use the bedsheet to cover the fact that she was bleeding! Unfortunately, the other still saw it and her face became ugly and humiliated.
