Fejezet 128

Keenan clicked his tongue when he realized that he slept with Fantasia. He was still tired and he wanted to rest so when Fantasia laid him down on the bed, Keenan just closed his eyes and fell asleep.

However, now that he regained consciousness and his mind was much clearer, he found that he made something wrong.

Why? Because Keenan's hand was on Fantasia's boob, squeezing it like a soft marshmallow. Keenan gulped, he may die in one wrong move.

To top it all, Fantasia was almost naked because she was just wearing a simple dress. Her pajama was quite revealing, Keenan didn't think about it because he was curious about her mental state more. But now that he was wide awake, her image was enough to make something stand.

'This is bad if she wakes up, I'll be beaten again.'

Even now, his body was still aching. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead and he shut his eyes.

"It's now or never."

He steeled his heart and carefully take his sinful hand away from her boob. He sighed in relief and turned around.

He didn't know that Fantasia was awake the whole time and she was doing her best not to move. She was sort of disappointed when Keenan released his hand.

She was wondering if her boobs were small because Keenan easily took off his hand.

She had E-Cup size and to be honest, they were quite bigger than her peers.

One week after Keenan and Fantasia had their confrontation.

As expected, their Resonance was affected. Their 89% Resonance became 87%. It was down to two and it was lower than the first time they had a union. Their first union, they had 88% Resonance.

They didn't know what was the particular reason. Although they understood that what happened against Joseph Cavalieri affected them, especially Fantasia. Her hatred was much worse.

Jeanne actually told Fantasia that Joseph was proud of her because she became a proper Nightbreaker even though she couldn't manifest her Aura.

"My stupid father will never say that."

Yet Fantasia cursed Joseph instead. She didn't believe Jeanne. She thought that Jeanne was sugarcoating the situation and Jeanne shrugged instead. She spoke her opinion, it all depends on Fantasia if she would believe it.

Besides, it was indeed true that Joseph was quite impressed that Fantasia grew better than he expected. Although Joseph won't accept her no matter what, a Cavalieri who can't manifest her Aura is not a Cavalieri.

Joseph was oblivious to the fact that Fantasia could use her Aura even though she was not a Class-S. However, she needed Keenan's help for that. Furthermore, she could only use her Aura for a few minutes.

Keenan could invade her core to open her Aura. Because of Keenan's monstrous precision, it was not a problem for him to open her Aura. It was a walk in the park.

'But using her Aura will strain her body. So we only have to use it when we are in a dangerous situation.'

He said in his mind while watching the ceremony. He had an awful expression. He was wearing a black suit, formal attire.

Keenan and Fantasia attended a funeral. It was a memorial for the people who lost their lives. It was horrible that millions of people lost their lives not even a month ago. Perhaps Keenan and Fantasia might be part of them if they didn't meet each other halfway.

When Keenan confirmed that he could walk well enough to travel long distances. He decided to look for Leila's parents at the funeral. Fantasia helped him to locate them. Their pharmacy was not affected by the Rift Distortion but they lost their daughter. They separated when the Rift Distortion happened. Luckily, the two parents survived but it was a different story from Leila.

"Thank you…"

Leila's parents bowed their heads, Leila's mother did her best not to cry but she couldn't control her emotions. She was sobbing and her husband console her.

Keenan gave them Leila's dog tag and started walking away to give them some space, Fantasia was next to him, giving him comfort.

Millions of tombstones were laid out but it was unfortunate that most of them were empty. Because Nightmares were horrible cannibals, they consumed the dead bodies.

Since then, Keenan promised that this tragedy won't happen again.

"Hehe, it's funny that I experienced this tragedy for the second time yet I'm still miserable and pathetic."

He chuckled, sarcastically. He was clenching his fists. He was mad that the only thing he could do was to run away from the monsters. He swallowed the frustration.

After the funeral, Keenan and Fantasia decided to eat at a restaurant. Although they didn't eat much, they didn't have any appetite these days.

They still didn't recover from the tragedy that they witnessed. They looked around, it was livelier now but everybody could see that the other side of the city was ravaged into chunks. Even the bodies of the Nightmares were still not demolished. Particularly the hundreds of Higante, they were too big to take back to the Netherworld and they were cutting them to pieces.

While walking on the street, Keenan found his phone ringing.

"Eh?"

When he opened the phone, he read that the caller id was named Sister Hoshuo. This was the Sister who had taken care of him when he was in the orphanage.

"Ah, I remember. I promised that I will visit them once I graduated!"

He forgot about that because he was too busy. Every year, when school vacation came, Keenan would visit the orphanage for two weeks.

Fantasia looked at him, waiting for him to answer the call.

"Hello, Sister?"

Keenan answered the call and talked to Sister Hoshuo. The first thing that answered his voice was the roaring voice of a madwoman.

"Why did you change your number!!! It took me weeks to contact you!!"

The woman was fuming on the other side and Keenan even have to put away the phone because her voice was so loud. It was ironic that this woman was serving the church.

"Sister, I'm sorry. I lost my phone in the Rift Distortion."

"Then at least you should have contacted me!! I almost had a heart attack because I thought something bad happened to you!! I even asked the academy just to confirm that you're alive. I asked for your number…"

Keenan heard that Sister Hoshuo sighed in relief.

"So, when will you visit us?"

She asked.
