Capitulo 125

Joseph was dragging his partner. The poor guy, Excalibur, was being dragged against the ground. Because he was unconscious, his asscheeks were getting scratched by the friction against the ground and he didn't have any clue.

Just as Joseph started walking back to the place where the Higante died, he met five people on the way. They were Somatorio, Terrence, Lackfresia, and the Twin Blade Clan leaders, Yamaha and Yamato.

The Twin Blade Clan was from Pajan so their names were unique.

"… I guess the reason why you guys are here is to negotiate about the Kakaiba N-core."

Joseph stated and the five didn't deny it. Joseph glanced at the huge body of the dead Higante. The usual rule about this was, the last kill will have the loot. That's how it works in RPG and even this world upholds this principle.

So technically, Joseph would receive the N-core because he was the one who killed the monster. Although it was not that easy. Especially when two other God-Class were craving for the said treasure. Kakaiba N-core is rare, much more a God-Class Kakaiba. This very N-core had the worth of 1 - 5 billion dollars alone.

So Somatorio and Lackfresia won't easily back down. And neither does Joseph.

"Joseph did you just…"

Somatorio gazed behind Joseph and because of his traits as a sniper, he saw a certain silhouette of a woman despite being hundreds of meters away.

"Yes, you see it right. I met Jeanne."

Joseph didn't deny it.

"Then, does she…"

"Not now, I don't recommend you to talk to her, at least not now. She's quite in the bad mood. Besides, I know that she will not agree to your proposition."

"… what do you mean?"

Somatorio gulped, he didn't want to admit it but Joseph was sharp.

Terrence, who was next to Somatorio, was shaking his head. Joseph was not sharp, Somatorio was just easy to read.

"I know that you're planning to create a guild and you're going to hire Jeanne. Sad to say but she will not take it. I offer her the same thing but she rejected it."

"I see…"

Somatorio sighed in relief, he thought that Jeanne would disagree with his proposal(romantic) but it if was just about job hiring, then Somatorio didn't have a problem.

"And Jeanne will not accept your wedding proposal if you try. Your almost twice his age, don't expect good news."

" Gah--!!"

Somatorio was dejected and Terrence comforted him by tapping his back and saying that they would drink vodka later on.

"So you still plan to give the N-core to her?"

Joseph probed.

"Nevermind, just suit yourself. It's yours!!"

Somatorio gritted his teeth and started walking away. However, he didn't plan to stay lay low. He would talk to Jeanne after this. Somatorio didn't need the Kakaiba because he couldn't absorb it anyway, it would only be wasted on him. Besides, he had enough money so selling the Kakaiba was not that thrilling.

"Thank you, I will send you a fine gift tomorrow."

Joseph said his thanks, Somatorio and Terrence walked away. For a second, they heard Somatorio's heartbreaking cry but it was just an illusion, or was it?

"Now… Let's talk, my business partners."

Joseph glanced at the three, Lackfresia was just smiling since she was not part of the business. Her only job was being the Handler. She had the highest Resonance with the twins, because of that, she became a God-Class. But it didn't mean that she was weak, she had experienced and physical strength to back up her status.

Yamaha and Yamato came and greeted Joseph, they were smiling like professional businessmen, which was true. Joseph dropped the still sleeping Excalibur and shook their hands.

Yamaha and Yamato were wearing purple and golden kimonos. Purple and golden represents nobility because in the past, only rich people could buy this kind of kimono.

"Let's make this clear, what do you guys want?"

Joseph knew that these two always prioritize their Clan, just like him. In fact, he already knew what they were going to say before this conversation even happen.

Yamato nodded and let Yamaha be the one to speak. Yamaha stepped in, As he speak, the accent on his tongue was easily detected. He was a true Pajan in the truest sense.

"We want to increase the numbers of Cavalieri in our Clan."

"Tch, okay fine."

Just as Joseph expected.

Since Cavalieri Clan was the Clan of the swordmasters and they could activate their Aura at an early age, almost all sword-type Arma coveted them. As a matter of fact, the average cultivation of Cavalieri was Class-S. It was enough as proof, once a Cavalieri chose a sword, that certain sword would definitely turn into a Class-S in the least.

Because Twin Blade Clan was a Clan of twins that mostly turned into twin swords Arma, Cavalieri's presence was a giant factor.

Twin Blade and Cavalieri had a pact before even Joseph was born, they were business partners.

Most of their Clan members were unionized and became partners. To be honest, it was a win-win situation for both of them.

However, in this business partnership, Cavalieri had the upper hand. Their members were much needed and even some weaker Clans were trying to get a piece of the cake. Their selling point was their Aura at such a young age of ten years old.

So, because of this, Twin Blade Clan wanted to secure more Cavalieri in their lineup.

"I will never lose in this issue anyway, both of us will get stronger... However, I want to make sure that the members I will send will have proper accommodation."

Yamaha smiled and assured him.

"Don't worry, money, food, luxury, and even women, we will not hesitate to give it to them."

"Good."

Yamato and Joseph made a business deal and shake their hands again. It was ironic that people could be traded like this. Well, at least it was not inhuman.

A huge Rift Distortion materialized in the York New City and Lynbrook was heavily damaged. A God-Class Higante appeared but it was quickly slain by the three Handlers of Joseph, Somatorio, and Lackfresia. They were given medals and resources from the World Government and Nightbreaker Association. Furthermore, it was stated that Joseph Cavalieri acquired a Kakaiba God-Class in this battle.
