Capitulo 115

Keenan weakly walked ahead, he couldn't help it. He was not stupid enough to be clueless about Leila's feelings. He knew it, that's why he turned her down. Yet, the scene that happened earlier kept tumbling in his head.

Keenan understood that he won't forget that memory, it would stick in his mind forever. The last sentence that Leila was going to say, Keenan understood it well. That's why he was frustrated.

He stopped and closed his eyes, then, he punch himself so strong that his cheek swelled. Even his tooth fell off, he was bleeding. He had to.

This was his way of resetting his mind. He wiped the tears that gathered in his eyes and he started sprinting ahead. He had to find Fantasia and Suzy.

Suzy was just a normal person and she didn't have any way to fight a monster. As for Fantasia, she was just a slightly strong person if she didn't have a sword, particularly an Arma like Keenan.

"… I made a mistake. I shouldn't have hesitated last time."

He should have activated Fantasia's Aura. Perhaps their situation won't be dangerous like this.

He clicked his tongue as he ran so fast, he tasted the blood in his mouth yet his eyes were looking ahead. He was trying his best to locate them.

However, another explosion transpired close to him. The red beam shot before him and Keenan instinctively stepped back, he sensed the attack before it happened, fortunately.

He realized that he had already run a hundred meters but he still couldn't find them. He was panting so hard, his leg was still aching but he endured it. This was not the time to caress his injury.

Keenan slowly lost his hope. The red beam disappeared and he found that everything in front of him was scorched to charcoal. A huge crater was on the ground, that was the only thing remaining.

Keenan clenched his fists, he took a detour. He still remembered where they separate, he was hoping that the two were fine.

On the other side, Fantasia and Suzy were stuck in the middle of a riot. They found a group of civilians running away from the monsters. Fantasia knew that being in a group of people would catch the attention of the monsters, yet she didn't have a choice but to follow them.

They only have one path, which was to head north away from the monsters. They were in Lynbrook right now and they had to reach Hattanman. Hattanman had already created evacuation areas and barricades against the monsters.

Fantasia and Suzy decided to go with that plan. To be honest, both of them were anxious about Keenan. But they trust him, Keenan had the resilience to survive in this situation. He was stronger than Fantasia, after all. He survived two weeks in the wilderness where Nightmares were all around. He was far more experienced than them.

But while on their way to Hattanman, a huge creature appeared in front of them and blocked their path. People shrieked as they looked up, their expressions filled with terror.

A Higante with the size of 140 meters swung its arm and threw concrete rocks at them. The creature knew how to play baseball.

The people started running away but they were already cornered. A group of monsters was following behind while a huge Higante was in front. They didn't have any escape route.

Fantasia looked around and found a building, she knew that tall buildings were the most dangerous area to enter right now because of the chances of falling. Yet she didn't have a choice but to gamble.

"Suzy, let's go."

She grabbed Suzy's hand and went inside the building. She was hoping that this building had an exit path to the other side. Fantasia sighed in relief when she found that the building had a door to the other side. However, it was infested with Zviera that were feasting over the dead bodies. Five Zviera were having their food trip.

Suzy wanted to puke as she looked at the horrendous sight but she persevered. Puking and losing strength was the least she wanted to do right now.

"Suzy once I opened the door, I want you to run as fast as you can."

Fantasia glanced at her and she squeezed her hand.

"B- but what about you-"

"Hush... I'll be fine."

She smiled crookedly, trying to hide her true emotions.

Fantasia took a deep breath as she summoned a dagger. She was eyeing the five Zviera that were eating the flesh of the dead people. Her steps were weak and unnoticeable, she erased her presence. When she was one meter away from the busy monsters, she dashed and stabbed the nearest one. Then, it didn't take a second before she could reach the second monster and pierced its neck.

Fantasia killed two Zviera but there were still three others remaining. Fantasia had gotten close to the door and opened it. Then, she kicked the monster that tried to bite her. Now, there was no monster that blocked the path towards the door.

"Suzy!!"

Fantasia yelled, it was the signal. Suzy ran so fast, she stumbled but she didn't stop until she left the building. She turned around and looked at Fantasia but the woman was bitten by a Zviera. Her shoulder was bit and Fantasia didn't have a choice but to close the door instead. So that the other two won't follow Suzy.

"S- sister!!!"

Suzy screamed.

"Go!! I will follow you after I kill these Nightmares."

Suzy confirmed that Fantasia was still alive. She was battling the monsters inside. Sizy bit her lip, she wanted to cry but she couldn't cry in this situation.

Suzy looked at the road, it was quiet and frightening, should she go to Hattanman and leave Fantasia? Or should she turn back to find Keenan and ask for his help?

Suzy was distressed.

But in the end, she decided to follow her heart. She took a step and started running.
