Hey, everyone, it’s Andy here! Happy new year! Can’t believe it’s already 2026! Time really flies when you’re old. <bones cracking> I hope everyone had a good new year and if not, I hope it gets better from here.
[Phase 2] Day 13-Parker/Anders + Housekeeping (Part 3) has been finished! More than 2000+ changes have been made to the code due to a recent Ren’py update (yay) that broke Android builds until it was unplayable.
It took me so long to get this build working because of the errors, and the other reason was that both me and rex had gotten too busy in December. Our artists were also taking breaks and/or were busy with other projects, so we couldn’t get as much as we’d like done. I’m glad that it was done and now we can go back to work like usual.
My goal for this year is that I plan on working more on AFCL and get Day 13 finished as soon as possible. We have big plans for the VN, and it can’t be commenced until Day 13 is done.
The polished version is up and ready for play, and it should be stable enough for everyone now (after 4 major bug fixes!) Let’s review what’s been changed! There’s a very important announcement at the end of this post, so please don’t skip it.

It’s another two months worth of an update! Well, maybe three, since it also includes yet another Housekeeping update. Anyway, we got a lot of things done here, and we can’t wait for you to play it! This update is on the lengthy side since it includes both Anders’ Day 13 and Parker’s Day 13.
Speaking of Parker Day 13, it is especially long. It has some branching paths from Day 12, so make sure you try them all before calling it a day!
Also, I’ve decided to call it [Phase 2] instead of Day 13 Part 2 because I realized it was a little misleading. Day 13 will end the same way regardless of the routes, so it makes sense to call it phase 2, at least in my head it does <gloomy>
Day 13 will actually have a part 2 though! It’ll pick up where we left it. It’s not on this build sadly, but still, I can’t wait until you can play it.
There are major changes on how Day 13’s story advances, so L13 is incomplete for now and we’ll add it in the next update gradually. I’ve also added extra interactions with Logan in L9 and L10 to fix the continuity issue in L13!

The name Twilight has something to do with the lore. We also have a Daybreak version, and it’ll change to this once we reach a certain point in the story.

The mentioned plan of bringing Day 13 to one single point is still true, and as I said before, I’ve decided to call it [Phase 2] instead of Part 2 since it can be a little misleading.
Parker Day 13 was quite difficult to write since P12 introduced a possibility of a branching path during the end of the day. Thanks to that, P13 ended up being twice as long as L13 was. There are too many things to keep track of, and I hope I didn’t miss any.
There are many interactions on other character’s festival prep activities that I haven’t added into Parker’s route yet, but I'll do that gradually when I’m able.
Rare Parker expression, and I kept abusing it by using it whenever I could.

This first half of A13 is quite straightforward, with more complexity planned for when we start rolling out the true Day 13 Part 2. For now, have fun with the bull and with the implications this update has...
Also, something to note: Anders' route will see further updates, both in previous Days and in route-specific narration/dialogue in Day 13 activities such as Parker's and those yet to be added. However, due to real life changes coming up, these will be rolled out gradually with each upcoming update.
Anders is fairly agreeable, so what has him so touchy?

Following Lars Day 1 and Day 2 rework, this update also featured another rework, this time focusing on Day 1 as a whole. Many early interactions with characters have been updated, new variables related to hidden game mechanics (yes, we have those), and Journal entries also have been improved! This is still incomplete, and I’ll make changes over time to later days as well.
I’m currently working on Parker and Mark Day 1. Anders and Gil’s Day 1 partial rework will be featured at a later date. Here are previews of some of the changes:
Mr. Parker:

After partial rework.The interaction with Mr. Parker now feels more natural and less stupid/forced. I’ve always thought it was silly and wanted to change it for so long. Now I got a chance to, so I’m super happy about it.
Mark:

After partial rework.There are two versions of Mark’s Day 1 tied to the overarching plot. I won’t tell you how to get the other version, but all I can tell you is, you can already read it in the game somehow. Also, due to this change, there will be a few inconsistencies between D1 and ME1, and many other later Days.
Journal entries:

New Journal Screen.Journal entries won’t update automatically, so in order to see the changes, you’ll have to start a new file, unfortunately. I tried finding a way to implement automatic change, but I’m not knowledgeable enough to do that at the moment. I’ll keep looking!
Only a small portion of Day 1 has updated entries, so it’s nothing major for now. More on the Journal feature below!

It’s been teased for a while, but now it’s finally here! The Character menu has been changed to Journal! This change is to make it feel personal, since the main character is the one who writes the journal. So instead of using a second-person point of view, it’s been rewritten in first-person.
The journal will have various pages such as: main characters, side characters, guest characters, big pack characters, and locations. All will be discovered as you explore Highwell as Walter (or insert y/n here, I don’t judge............)

Since the entries are dynamic (changing based on what you encounter), the journal entries are written manually and not stored in a variable string. What does that mean? Well, glad you asked! It means it won’t update and can only be manually changed and triggered by going back to day 1. Meaning you’ll need to lose your progress to see the new journal entries.
I wouldn’t recommend doing that though. I have to rewrite any available ones and I haven’t finished all of them, so it’s incomplete. Right now, only a small portion of Day 1 has the updated journal entries.
It’s not my main concern right now, but I’ll still update them periodically. Please bear with me!

In the last Monthly Report, I made some news about upcoming stuff, well, now I’m giving you an update on these!
P13 CG: I have included this CG in the latest update, you can encounter this CG if the requirements are met.
Again, hot men and hot men parts aren’t allowed on public posts.Day ??? CG: The CG has been finished, and it includes a few variations. The scenario is already written in-game, and you can encounter it fairly easily, but I won’t elaborate more on why it happened! Like I’ve always said: stay tuned 🤙
It’s obvious who this is, but what’s with the clothing?Andrew Day 13 CG: On top of this, we also finished another CG!
Wow! So productive. I asked Mr. Bear to make him look friendly and he was having a little problem with it.

What does that mean? I don’t know. But all I know is that another CG is currently being worked on! There’s no sketches at the present but I’ll show it next month perhaps.
Festival area BG:
Since we last showed the BG, we actually got two instead of one done! Here are some of them.



More BGs are in the works, but I have nothing to show you guys at the moment.

As a part of the Housekeeping Update, I’ve changed more of the game UI and implemented changes that, hopefully, won’t break each time Ren’py updates something. They are minor and mostly backend, and they are more noticeable when you see them yourself, so I won’t list them here at all.

- Over 800+ Phonecall screen errors (including Overlays and Callbox) have been fixed.

- Character names exceeding 13 letters in text logs getting cut off has been fixed.
- Ren’s sprite not showing in A6 has been fixed.

- The messaging screen is still bugged, it might show the same messages twice.
- Generic music from Incompetech still remains, but it'll be gradually taken out.
- The prologue screen still needs to be reworked.
- Character likes and dislikes won't update in save info until next time players load the file.
- Double confirmation sound still plays on some menus.
- When loading old saves, some names will have double honorifics. (starting a new file is recommended.)
- Young parker side image not found in PE1

Removed features:
- Star sign, likes, and dislikes in Journal has been removed.

Whew, there’s a LOT for what’s next in AFCL development. It’s an exciting time for AFCL, personally, so I don’t want to appear too ambitious right now. I’ll refrain from showing them until I’m sure I can pull them off. Yes. We’re still considering translations.
Although, maybe some neutral news? It’s very likely that I’ll take some time off to avoid getting a burnout (getting very close to that) because of real-life things. I’m moving out to another country—supposedly permanently— soon, so I have to leave my current work and I need to prepare a lot of things, physically and mentally. I have the capacity to do them, but I want to do this at a relaxed pace for once LOL.

We noticed a surge of new and returning patrons during that legacy pricing period, I’m forever thankful for that! As promised, existing patrons and the ones who joined during the legacy pricing period will keep their legacy pricing forever as long as the charges aren’t cancelled and/or declined.
And with the tier pricing change, it’s getting more expensive to be a patron. I tried to keep the old pricing as long as I could, but with development fees getting higher and expensive, I had to do the change.
I feel like my project doesn’t deserve that high of a monthly subscription, considering that I’m almost always late in delivering, and that we don’t have a lot of content that most people probably expect from this project…so I want to compensate everyone by giving patrons lifetime access to the build once they have reached certain pledge threshold. Most information can be found here, but I’ll include some here.
Patrons who have reached a $100 lifetime pledge are eligible for Lifetime Access! I have included a list of eligible patrons (public sheet) as of January 1st, 2026. This list will be updated every month.
