I just wanted to share this video as I begin to study lineart and anime-style drawing

So, spoiler-alert: I'm a game maker first, and an "artist" waaaaaaaaaaaaay after lmao.  In fact, I have been teaching myself to draw as time goes by to better compliment my game, which is why updates have been much slower lately.  I would like to broaden my horizons and become the complete package...and then, as I watched tutorial after tutorial, I came across this video.  Now, I have been practicing and, granted, I have very little time to put into practicing because I'm also making the game, sprites, and sprite animations, but this video really put a ton of things into perspective for me.  This sort of skill, is amazing.  I can tell, even at this speed, most of the tools he/she is using, but the absolute precision, is phenomenal.

I used to paint a lot in high school, mostly with oil-based paints, where smudging is the key to a good realistic image.  Because of that, I was able to teach myself to draw things like the attached images.  However, I have zero experience anywhere in my life as of now, to draw from and learn something this amazing in an anime style.  I'm not saying I can't get there, however.  That's not it at all.  What I am trying to say is that I have been putting a lot of pressure on myself to become this "jack of all trades," and, considering how new I am to this scene, the fact that Domain will have at least 4 chapters, and I even plan on making a "Domain 2," I have plenty of time to improve as an artist as I also learn as a game maker.

I'm not backing down by any means on learning a similar style, however, I may decide to keep my current style for the entirely of chapter 1 at least, and then take a break to really dedicate myself to learning anime-style.  I just honestly believe the amount of time it takes to become truly skilled like in that video, something I'd really like to learn, is unrealistic to force this early in my career.  I think it would be much better to continue to better my sprite art, programming, and currently art-style, even if it is just for the time being.  I know my art, given my experience and the fact that it's being coupled with making an entire game, doesn't need to be perfect, but I'm very self-critical and like to make sure anything I do is at the very least, above par.  Feel free to comment here, or hit me up on discord if you have any opinions/advice.
