Ground down, but want to hear from you!

Hey, all.

Obviously the content has been slow. I won't get too into it, but my job isn't a fun one (offline, how I pay the bills) and this month has been particularly hard. Anxiety and stress, plus keeping up a facade of "everything is fine" really is draining.

But what refills the batteries is hearing from you! Reply here, talk about yourself!

Again, I want to read about you, so when I ask questions about me or other artists, its to know more about why -you- love that topic. (I only want to talk about me because it's about the only subject I'm an expert on)

Here's some topic seeds:

General Topics:

Stuff about me:

Last, if you have any questions for me, I'm happy to answer them. I'd rather this not be a big FAQ, but anything that makes this a way to keep connected with you as I fall into a creative dry spell, that would refill my batteries.

Never thought of using the Beyonder; I know he'd be a good villain to center a short story around. :)

My favorite aspects of Tfs is the person in question being morphed into whatever they're turning into and the end result of the transformation which could be fun like weight gain stretching out clothes beyond belief and ripping them, mtf TG being a favorite of mine where they could either rip their old clothes from the new curves or,be too small for them to point where the clothes are falling off or both could happen. Object, clothing , flattening, drider, and balloon Tfs are a new favorite of mine thanks to you're infinity warp series and other warps you've done since then. My favorite part of TG/tf community is how diverse it is with how they do Tfs themselves and how when they have dialogue it can enhance the tf even more with some fun dialogue. If I had infinite money and could assemble a dream team I'd make a comic similar to infinity warps but just with marvel and DC heroes going through various Tf paths to get to the end before the changes are permanent. I'd probably get gnome(you) or someone else that can do various Tfs and not have a problem with them at all especially weird ones like animal tf, object Tfs, and balloon Tfs. I've written stuff before so it wouldn't hurt if I gave it a try to write a comic. The story would be a mashup between the Beyonder and Gizby called Geyondzby put together some of the biggest and sexiest heroes together to escape their self made labyrinth before the transformations they've gone through are permanent. I'd also say there would be right and wrong paths with the wrong ones resulting in a bad ending like for example one path could lead to the heroes becoming Geyondzby's new petting zoo animals themed after the best heroes throughout the multiverse ,them becoming her new house furniture for her house,or them becoming strippers for her superhero themed strip club. The way to implement this path system would be a poll to chose what happens next. This is just a first draft of this idea though so take it with a grain of salt.

Guys, Phoinix has been a supporter for years, and (as you can see) a loquacious one. If you love Infinity Warp, you can thank them for a lot of the stories you read there. I think any trip back into the Warp-types series would, for me, have to be something new, but the Harlee & Gizby one, or Special K, would be my first picks to revisit as sequels. I think I always lean toward DC for the IP that I choose for transformation because of how iconic their designs are, how much of a hold on the zeitgeist they have, and the whole Silver Age looney-ness of it all. Marvel feels like maybe a next step, though, but the Infinity Gauntlet feels like already trodden territory (as does any other cosmic macguffins like the cosmic cube, et al.) I think there's room there, though. To be sure.

A good transformation, in my eyes, captures a careful balance between retaining the essence of the transformee prior to the transformation and producing a novel look resulting from the transformation. I feel this is a forte of your art (and probably the favorite thing about your art), especially when you use clothes, inanimate, or any other transformations that allows you to incorporate portions of the transformee's original design into the transformation (e.g. the wing colorization in the harpy transformations for Arachne, MJ, and Spider-Gwen). I think the tftg community has a diversity of both art styles and subject matter specialization. The same type of transformation can have a different vibe or even rendering when drawn in a different art style. This extends the potential of a type of transformation and prevents them from feeling samey. A dream project of mine would be to write a comic, so this hypothetical infinite-money dream team idea would be an interesting scenario to explore this pipeline dream. Obviously, the comic would star either my own character, Arachne, or tell a Spider-Man story about a harpyfied MJ. Either idea wouldn't necessarily have to be NSFW. I would have to do some research into comic artists for a SFW version of these ideas, but from the artists I have commissioned in the past, these would be some of my picks (obviously not an exhaustive list): Gnome (You!): I love your art style and you have done a fantastic job depicting both Arachne and MJ. With infinite money to compensate for your time, I know you draw excellent driders and harpies. When you have a drider or harpy main character, having an artist who can draw those body types is a must! NotZackForWork: Zi has a WIP Spider-Man comic that gives me great confidence in their drawing Spider-costumes, which is relevant for both Arachne and a Spider-Man comic. All of the Aubrey commissions from them are also top notch. Sampleguy: Definitely a different art style than you or NZFW. He has expressed interest in drawing both Arachne and harpy MJ on separate occasions, although I don't know whether those statements were a fling of the moment thought. Finally, I also had a commission from a SFW artist for a hypothetical cover for an Arachne comic. Due to how that commission came out, he would definitely be an interesting pick, though the comic would have to be SFW/non-kink. I obviously have mentioned three characters whom I would say are my favorites of the characters you have drawn. Superhero(in)es in general would probably be my answer, with Rogue, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, and Power Girl to add to the three ladies I already mentioned. Finally (I have already written too much!), my pick for a past project I wouldn't mind seeing getting a sequel/successor/picked back up is more of a collection of semi-related or similar works: The Great Gizby and Harlee, Mini-Finity Warp (I'm including the DC toonification, as the format is similar), A Warp in the Park. This could be a sequel to the Great Gizby (or a Marvel version of the concept) or a before/after artwork in the vein of Mini-Finity Warp, DC Toonification, and A Warp in the Park, but not necessarily a continuation of those projects.
