The Thirst Trap: Prolog

The pink and blue neon was turned off, the curvy devil girl in the giant Cosmo glass that stood prominently on the marquis was dull in the dying sunlight. “The Thirst Trap”, one of the most exciting nightclubs in all of Minneapolis, seemed lonely without the line of hot young people waiting to get inside. Once those lights were on, it really brought this whole neighborhood to life; every bar and club to the left and right owed their success to the run-off from this one spot.
[The character] smiled, just briefly, thinking of every attempt they’d made to get in. Rebuffed. Today was different, though. Today they would. They had an appointment with its owner. And would, hopefully, find out the secret about what made this place so amazing.
And if the rumors were true: Once inside, you might become anything.
