v1.2.7 - Content Update (Patreon Exclusive)

Hello!

After months of writing, editing, illustrating, and coding, the first build of the next Content Update is now done for Patrons!

Unfortunately, I am not yet uploading this to the public, because there are many things I wish to implement, but ran out of time for. I understand that this is a demo and a free game, but my personal preference is to drop big updates with months in between, instead of trickling them piece by piece in shorter intervals. I think the latter creates a much less exciting experience for both myself and the players that want chunkier, more substantial content.

At the moment, I am aiming for a public release at the end of June.

So, what's in the update?

- 3 in-game days -- a free roam day, a plot day, and a romance scene.

- 3 big custom CGs of all the romantic interests, with one of them featuring your customizable main character. There are also multiple new smaller CGs, including two featuring the LIs.

- The ability to gift the Love Interests an item during the Free Roam day.

- The debut of Vincenzo's female form, including a CG with new sprites.

- A pretty significant Black redesign. His neck tattoo has been changed. And to everyone who wants the "HATE" tattoo back... it's now been moved to a more desirable location. ;)

- NEW MC customization options, which includes a new "default" hair color (light blonde), a green variant of the plaid shirt, and a sweater option with 2 colors. If you are attached to your custom MC, please don't forget to redo them because the hair options have been rearranged.

- 3 new big "backgrounds" (1 variation), 3 smaller ones

- 3 new halfbody sprites (new characters), 2 icon characters, 2 monsters.

- 6 new inventory items.

- Added a new conversation for Crux's Free Roam Day 1.

- A new blinking heart click to continue icon on the dialogue box.

- A new bloody border effect.

- Fixed some notable bugs: Asha's journal entry, the repeating line in the Abel encounter, and a bug where Crux's note picture would show on the bottom left screen.

- Some quality of life adjustments: Lowered the volume of Grete and Asha's theme songs, fixed some clipping on Carolyn's bg, some pixel issues in the Kitchen bg, smoother transitioning in some scenes.

What hasn't been implemented?

- During Free Roam, I wanted the ability to be able to go to the NPC store and purchase new items. We are struggling to figure out how to implement this smoothly.

- Originally, I wanted the option to be able to open the inventory menu directly and letting the player choose the item individually and how to respond, but we ran into some errors here.

- I commissioned a friend to revamp the journal with new entries, but they recently moved, so this was delayed. Hopefully we can finish by the end of June.

What are the new things I wish to add for the June release?

- Set names that the voice actors can say in the future.

- A new screen for Free Roam.

- A new menu for gifting items pop up?

- Alterations with the Crux car CG and the Vin ring CG.

- Maybe a special effects Eldritch border?

- I'm considering redoing the tabs on the Game Menu with text instead of icons for Accessibility.
