The Stuff I Missed season 2 video is cursed

EDIT/UPDATE: I've had a little cry and I've found a workaround for the problem that I must have used last time and forgotten or not realized which thing it was that "randomly worked" (turns out it wasn't random, it was just maybe a chroma key thing I tried and long story short I must have used that instead of what I was trying to use now and forgot that was what worked in the end) so it's not as good as the original effect but I think it looks the same as what I went with last time for the season 1 Stuff I Missed video so I'll just use that and try to figure out how to actually fix the problem when I get to main videos again. So GREAT NEWS: I'll be able to get it done for tomorrow after all fingers crossed. Sorry about the mental breakdown, blame the sickness but it's really just typical me battling with the computer.

So it's done. It would be done if it wasn't for this leaf particle effect that just will. not. work. My options are either no leaves, glitchy spasmy leaves, flickering leaves or grayish, oddly transparent leaves like this:

I can't fix it. I've tried everything I can think of. I've contacted Cyberlink support. I'm really sick, my throat hurts so badly, I'm coughing the lining of my esophagus out, I keep getting a fever at night and I don't need this stress now. I really wanted to finally upload this video for tomorrow. I uploaded the version with the gray leaves and it has no copyright claims so it would be good to go if the damn leaf effect didn't look unacceptably wrong. I'm so sick of this, I've been wanting to get rid of this particular project for so long, it wasn't fun for me and I hated working on it by the end (clarification: I don't hate the video, I was just so unmotivated to work on a season 2 video that highlighted everything I missed and prevented me from properly getting started on season 3). And now it would be DONE and FINISHED if this effect would just render correctly. I bought a whole new version of the software for this when this effect stopped working in the old one and it's just not working and I want to cry. I don't know if the CyberLink people can help me and who knows how long until they reply to my message. I hate PowerDirector so much right now, I probably should have just started from scratch with a completely different software but I needed the backwards compatibility with old projects... Sorry about such a bummer update, I'm just tearing my hair out and it's 11pm here. I don't know how to fix this. I already felt so bad for not uploading anything all November and now this is the reason why I can seemingly never get this done. Last time I had this issue the leaves just randomly worked the next day. I've restarted my computer like 5 times and it hasn't randomly started working yet. I hate when stuff that used to work stops working and you have to fully reinvent the wheel. I guess I have to consider buying another expensive editing software and fully starting over. I'm just scared of trying to learn a whole new program at this point and... Ugh.
