Fanart poll + study schetches
Added 2020-09-23 15:52:08 +0000 UTCWhelp, this is the third commisions this month im yeeting to the trash after a few days of work. I have no idea what's wrong with me, i wasted so much time on just trial and error this month. This time, during rendering i just lost any sense of perspective and the scene just does not read well at all anymore.
BUT, i really like the rendering on the left characher, and really it's like 80% done, it's a shame to throw it away, so im gonna repurpose it for some fanart! Great way to salvage this mess. What do i do tho?
Leave your suggestions in the comments. Anything goes, the cloak and clothes are gonna be removed, so feel free to suggest anything. Personally im imagining maybie her leaning on a sword, or something. But im totally clueless on what charachter would fit that bill. So, help me out plase!
I also added some random schetches i did, i recently read How to render by Scott Roberttson, fantastic book, really cleared up some misconceptions i had about tones. He mostly draws cars and sci fi enviroments, so there's a LOT of emphasis on perspective, but the pages on rendering and tones is fantastic. His book "how to draw" is legit the most in-depth look on pespective i ever read, even too much for me, he spends 20 min drawing a cone in pespective with 50 constuction lines. Still, cool stuff.
