So, Gray and Rosy are probably my favorites, with Rosy beating out Gray by juuust a smidge (no fault of Gray's, he's just this side of too sweet and has a last name I have an unfortunate history with). I like being challenged, and I really vibe with how short (lol) Rosy is with people. Efficient. You know where you stand with them. I've always been someone who doesn't trust nice, so Rosy was definitely a breath of fresh air for me. I do love Gray, though. He's the route my secondary Button is on. He's so genuine and supportive (and the history is already *there*), and he's a complete dork. Plus being dishonest gives him stomach aches and I have never related so hard to a character. As for who I avoid...I actively avoid both Sally and Glitch. I love Sally, but as someone in their mid-twenties, she's definitely left my personal comfort zone with how young I'll go. Sister material, and I love her as such. Glitch immediately set off alarm bells when I first met them, given how touchy and friendly they were right off the bat. I can barely tolerate being touched by my friends, so having a character be that familiar so quickly really set my teeth on edge. I'm looking forward to learning more about them and having that opinion change, but that was first impressions and unfortunately first impressions often dictate whose route I'm going to take in these things.

Well I'm planning on playing all the routes except Noh's and Rosy's but my Button looked at Kent once and went 'I want THAT one!!!' Meanwhile I'M like asdfjkmadjs Glitch is RIGHT THERE and clearly the superior option what are you on girl!! (I like Glitch the most because they're open with their feelings, and definitely fulfill that Words of Affirmation need. Also you said they give great hugs so yeah they go a little fast but what more do you need amiright??) But yeah I usually steer clear of the aloof types because they usually come with more mind games than I can handle lol, but with Kent I guess I like the mystery and I WANT to see his hidden depths before I judge to hard. Just know that Glitch will remain number one though. My taste is impeccable, I will not improve, I will not apologize. That is a fact.

For K - I love a "broody asshole" and that's kind of how K comes off sometimes. But, it's also clear he has layers, so the broody asshole thing seems more like a facade/defense mechanism. I'm mostly interested in learning more about him -- how the stuff with his mom impacted him, what his relationship with his father is like, etc. For Gray - He's probabllllly my FAVORITE favorite. I think he just has all the makings of a good partner. He knows Button really well; he's got a sense of humor; he's very considerate of Button's feelings (when he's not being clueless about them lol). I also think it's adorable how flustered he gets (got?) when Button flirted with him, and when he gave Button that hug 😭 Too sweet. He's one of those people that seems like... super flawless, which is impossible, but still.

Echoing what a lot of people have said about K and Gray! For Gray - just can’t resist the friends-to-lovers/mutual pining, and having Nick & Sally rooting for them to stop being idiots and love each other is my fav lol. I always love when supporting characters comment on the romance route, but for Gray it levels up bc of how close they all are as friends 🥺 For K, I’m a big fan of those quiet, “unspoken gestures” romances where the characters just seem to *get* each other and often communicate through little glances or reassuring touch, etc. I feel like K and Button *see* and understand each other in a way that is really beautiful 🥰 Like others have said, Glitch’s romance just activities a liiiittle too early for us slow-burn lovers lol but I want to give their route a chance because I do find them very endearing! I want to try Sally’s too just she’s just so cute as a bff 🤔 I’m interested in trying Rosy’s route since other people seem to love it so much, but so far they seem a little *too* emotionally unavailable for me lol. Like K is stoic, sure, but even when you first meet them you can tell that when they care, they *really* care.

Gray’s my all time favourite just because of how sweet he is, and because I have a soft spot for the trope of extremely confident public figures who turn into awkward teddy bears in their private lives 😍. The other romance route that I’ve played in some detail is Glitch, because I tend to play as quite a shy, easily-flustered Button and I love how that personality type combines with Glitch’s unashamed openness (plus, I am super curious about all the mysteries on his route and can’t wait to see what happens!). As for the other ROs, I have nothing against them and would love to play through their routes eventually, but I just haven’t prioritised them for various reasons. For K, it’s because I haven’t created a Button yet who’s the kind of person to go back for the shiz tzus. And for Sally and Rosy, it’s because I’ve been projecting onto Button a little as a young straight woman, so I haven’t really pursued female or older ROs as of yet.

I love Kent. He is exactly the type of RO that I usually go for only he also has cute dogs and an even cuter route. My Button, however, had her own ideas. She felt that a lot of incredibly sad yearning for Gray was the way to go. So far I'm avoiding Rosy (even though that's most likely who I'd personally go for in reality) because that's too much power imbalance for me. Sally is amazing but I love her as family too much to see her romantically.

At first I was a Gray person, but then I decided to try Kent, then I was a Kent person. Then I tried Rosy, now I'm a Rosy person. So, I think right now it's: 1. Rosy, 2. Gray, 3. Kent.

My favorite changes from time to time but right now, I would say it’s Gray and Glitch. For Gray’s, it’s one of those time where the pacing really fits for me. I like that he and Button has a pre-established relationship where two characters slowly fall in love with each other. I also like the contrast between a very nice and gentle guy vs the guy the leather jacket and motorcycle and swears a ton 😂 Plus, I can’t say that the Brother’s Best Friend trope doesn’t help quite a lot. Tropes exist for a reason 😂 I like Glitch’s cheery (and flirty) attitude and how forward they are with their feelings, though their route is little bit too fast it feels kinda surreal for me 🤔 (I know I’m contradicting myself, but still 😅). But I remember you said there’s a reason why it’s fast so I’m hoping to see that. Plus, I love that Glitch has such a clever way with words and his bantering is so much fun to read. People often says you should be careful with a man with pretty words, but hey, the heart wants what it wants 😂 Content-wise, I think I enjoy Rosy the most? But it’s more because of how comedic it is rather than the romance itself 😂 I love every single reaction Nick makes every time Button express interest in Rosy and it’s so fun to play as Humorous!Button who never takes anyone seriously to contrasts with Rosy’s seriousness. Still, I think I can only play as a very forward and air-headed Button in Rosy’s route, because I usually self-insert into my MC and I can’t imagine myself falling for anyone like Rosy unless I’m high or something 😂 It’s been a while since I played K’s route but I remember I really enjoyed it when I did (the first time I played it, I understand why they’re people’s favorite). I don’t usually go for K because as I said above, I often self-insert and it doesn’t feel like me to choose the dog route as I wouldn’t know barking a lot has something to do with lack of water. But I have a compassionate MC who really loves dogs and she would go for the shih tzus out of sheer concern, and god, I love her dynamic with K so much! Plus, I love, love, LOVE Button’s monologue regarding her feelings with K (with Bali and wedding and stuff). It’s just so damn cute! (I think that’s a major reason why I like K’s route 🤔) I don’t usually romance Sally because of my orientation more than anything else. But I think her route is very captivating, especially when she’s already in love with someone else 😂 Okay, people can say all they want about this, but I really want a route where a character likes someone else before the MC. Just imagine all the drama and angst that come with it! And not to mention the best friends to lovers romance (my ultimate favorite) with longtime pinning to boot! Also, I personally really like energetic ones so Sally already charm me with that (AND she knows her fashion and how to do the nails). And even though I’m not attracted to women, there are still some Tumblr answers about her that makes me skip a beat for some reasons 😂 (like the proposal one).

Glitch, goodness, it's no contest. I also love all the ROs and save for Sally (Nicky Mouse needs to be happy dangit), I plan to play all their routes. There's just something about Glitch though. Aside from the secrets he's hanging onto (and we know they're there), he's fun and quirky and someone I would be so happy to know irl. He's a sunshine rainbow with dubious beverage tastes, spouting poetry and one-liners all in the same breath. His side story about killed me though, so at some point he's gonna have to let us see the rain too. He deserves love, smiling or not, and I hope we get the chance to show him that. I think Glitch is one of my favorite IF ROs ever.

Mind Blind's one of the few pieces of IF where I genuinely enjoy all of the ro's romance routes, but I've been stuck on K since day one and it’s only gotten worse😂 I was initially drawn in just because of the tropes K fits, the whole “oo lala, the stoic character is actually very considerate and sweet”, but then I started really thinking about the interactions button has with K.. and just, every single one of them screams understanding. And I normally really don’t like the trope of “we just get each other, we just understand”, in romance because it tends to feel very shallow and forced, but everything Button and K do understand about each other feels worked for and naturally earned. K understood why Button was mad with them over annie and cass and didn’t get insulted, Button stopped and thought about how K was putting themself in front of the press for them, SO many other examples, and that's not even mentioning the bonus stuff?? Like how Button can predict that K’s not actually a ment, button telling K that they don’t have to divulge about their admittance to the NPO program and there’s *a flash of tacit understanding between the two* like!!! I am EATING this up. Especially when this is all happening between two characters who have had a less than positive relationship with others understanding. From misconstruing their feelings, speaking for them, a general lack of comprehension that feels meaningful and instead receiving attempts to fix or suppress. I could rant about interpersonal character relationships for a solid two days, but hopefully what I’ve said isn’t too scattered😂
