The boss system involves the following:
1. The player will create a random boss at chosen location
2. The boss has random abilities, with resemblance to Diablo 3's elite system, except the boss is only one individual
3. Abilities include:
Timed strike (if the boss successfully, consecutively hits the player several times within time interval, the player will suffer close to fatal damage)
Temptation (the boss will make an ally of the player fight the player)
Gluttony (the boss will leave an energy orb as they walk, if the player eats the orb, the player will restore energy and health but also have lower resistance; if the boss eats the orb, they will restore health and become even more deadly)
Hatred (the longer the boss survives, the stronger it gets, but also more averse to damage)
Revenge (if the player successfully, consecutively hits the boss several times within time interval, the boss will unleash a power that might kill the player)

4. Defeating the boss will award items that can boost the player's stats and skills, and might unlock new powers
5. In the real system, the player will be awarded Ascension points, they can be used to unlock God Powers which will be a brand new character progression system
6. The boss's difficulty depends on the player's level, as shown in curve
7. The system will be closely related to the story, though its primary function is to serve the gameplay.
