Blindfolded and Stranded [Part 2]

Here you are Patreons! Sorry for the lack of thumbnail this evening. Just been out on an adventure and now have to whizz back out to watch a David Bowie tribute act! Poor me ay?
Will do the thumbnail tomorrow morning.

Good subtitles once again available

Welcome to the second and final part of this barmy adventure. We pick things up on the edge of a gigantic dairy farm hoping I can sneak through it, and ultimately make my way home before dark. Standing in my way are motorways, high speed railway tracks, more swollen rivers, and an inescapable pit of stinging nettles. Spurring me on in the distance is the reassuring ridge of Cannock Chase, but would it be the stroll in the park that I kept making it out to be?

Have a top weekend all!

Blindfolded and Stranded [Part 2]

Comments

I think I preferred the challenge of finding drinkable water sources this time around, but I'm going to bring one on an upcoming adventure for sure!

tom davies

Private sorry Tom!

tom davies

Have thought about this many a time. It will come ;)

tom davies

Can’t wait for the review video 🤓

Mark Furniss

Finally joined you Patreon after being a big Fan for years.Stoked for all the bonus content!

Dick Dousché

Great content as always Tom! Really enjoyed this new format. I've always wondered, though, why you don't bring along some kind of light water filter like a lifestraw? Then you could drink from the ample rivers/streams in cases when you can't find a pub (or forget to ask for water lol). Is it a weight issue or just an added part of the challenge to find water?

Kristen C

I see you dad-jokes game is increasing ;)

Thea Haugland

The only Patreon account i subscribe to. 100% worth it.

João Monteiro

fantastic

Benny

Absolute banger of a format. This and the No Roads challenges are two of my favorites now. Looking forward to more in the future!

Travis Renfrow

Good stuff 🦍❤️

Jean Voyage

What's your strava account boss?

Tom

I believe i speak for many of us Tom when i say i would love to see this format on a regular basis; perhaps with differing locations as end points too if you and Verity can allow for such a thing! Seeing if you could do this whilst trying to get to a different town would be a good test. Really enjoyed it regardless

Tom, I was watching an old straight line mission yesterday and had a thought. I know that you've had difficulty finding good lines in the local area that you haven't already "mastered" the optimal line for. So, why not a "perfect circle" mission? Draw a circle on the map, follow it exactly. Same rules as for straight, but it could be placed in much more interesting places. You could start with say, a 25 miler, and work up to a 50, 75, 100 miler. An intersting challenge would be that you can't rely on your internal "i'm walking in a straight line" so you risk drifting off more often. It could also be good for working out the stats: how close to 100% identical total area can you get to?

darkdemon

The funny thing is I didn't actually order that for myself. I ordered a pint of Corona on draught and Verity's friend wanted it so I did my fourth good deed of the day and made the swap!

tom davies

You got it buddy ;)

tom davies

Another excellent adventure and the reason this is my only Patreon subscription - well worth it!

Dennis Schissler

A beautiful gift after a long week, thanks Tom!

Dustin Geddes

Loving the creativity you have been exhibiting with these missions. Absolute legend.

Kenneth Hebert

Tom, of all the pints you could've had to celebrate, you choose Carling?

Lewis Drabble

Great work Tom, look forward to the review video :-)

LordLard

As someone that grew up in Penkridge, it was a rough watch, seeing you decide to go under the motorway via the 449 knowing you’d have to cross the river 😂

Josh

Excellent series!! Enjoyed this so much, and would love to see you do one of these multiday as well. Honestly I just want more!! Well done man!

Trym Sørsdal

Hearing you say HUGE forest makes me giggle as a Swede :D

Anders

Wow gg due. What an adventure. If you’re wanting to do this type of thing again, we the viewers would love to see it. So original!!

Dominic John

I think a guy named Robert Plant was looking for that same bridge! Loved the reference, great adventure :)

Lucinho

Have been excitedly waiting for part 2 and boy did it deliver! I think these are a fantastic new addition to your straight line missions, primarily because it adds an extra dimension of the unknown for you Tom. With the straight line missions (which are bloody hard for other reasons) you at least get some idea of what you’re facing (fallen pines… ahem), whereas with these missions your sort of “sight reading” like a musician playing a piece for the first time. Super fun! Can’t wait for the next one.

Stuart Duncan

I quite enjoyed this new kind of adventure. It also seems to be a bit easier to fit with your new parents duties than the longer ones, while also being quite exciting

Guilherme Fonseca

Loved this new series! I felt it had everything it needed in it, the uncertainty of where you are and where to go, the navigating through the fields and foothpaths, overcoming obstacles, definitely a banger. Looking forward to the next one mate

Emanuele Scintu

Ahh I've been so excited for part 2, Made my weekend!!

Tamzin

Thank you very much. ♥️

GrischaRomen

Man the chase is a wonderful place, so easy to get lost though, having done a straight line mission across the chase, it is rather hilly.

Jamie Daniels

Great, just finished watching you work your way through the sex dungeon 😁

james dollard

as someone who once fell in a stingy nettle bush I feel your pain

Ewoud van Aalst

Oh my god, I can't believe it! I just lit a joint. And now you post part 2. The perfect saturday night.

Imraduin

Let's go! Keep it up Tom!

Alex Danckaarts

Can’t wait to watch this now, been the vane of my existence all week!
