MUSIC STREAM #1 - THE MUSIC THAT SHAPED MY LIFE ($4 TIER)

Comments

I'm sad to report that this video is no longer available in the USA or any other country I attempted to use a VPN for.

Dustin Geddes

Saw other people having the same issue.. connected to US VPN and is working now :)

Zane

Hey Tom (or anyone that can help!), looks like this got blocked for copyright. Has it been uploaded anywhere else? Thanks!

Zane

Are you still doing videos? Nothing for ages

Laura Newton

Hello Tom! Please read that, it’s important! So basically my boyfriend Tymek loves to watch your videos! He even showed me your channel and thanks to him i started to watch you :) In December he has birthday and i wanted to have something special for him, could u be able to send me your autograph with the happy birthday note? I can even pay for delivery or even in general for everything! I am aware you have a bunch of DM’s and you probably won’t see it but im crossing my fingers to get a respond :) Your dearest fan, emi ! Also i hope im not interrupting you in any way and it’s okay to ask that!

Try with a VPN? There are free ones on your phone. That's what I'm gonna try.

Missed the stream sadly but can’t watch it back (I’m in England). Any other way you can re-upload it?

Caught the stream after you were live, but thoroughly enjoyed watching it all the same. Not much of the music discussed appealed to me, I’m more of an alternative rock electronic synth-pop new wave sorta guy (Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, The Cure, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, OMD, Keane, mid 2000s Placebo, The Human League before 1981, Jean Michel Jarre, Gary Numan, Ultravox, Brian Eno, that ballpark, although I do have time for rock, Pink Floyd’s The Wall is one of my favourite albums of all time, also modern bands like Dry Cleaning, Working Mens Club, Nation of Language, Gorillaz, Tame Impala, The Lathums, Chvrches, Everything Everything, some good modern band recommendations there for you). I was unlucky to not have music introduced to me much by my parents, to say “Jack you’re enjoying this music, definitely listen to this”, listened to a lot of early 2000s alternative British rock like Keane, Coldplay and Snow Patrol that we’d play in the car on long drives down to France for summer holidays, more funky or easy listening stuff like Jamiroquai and Lighthouse Family, remember as well the rap rock of Fun Lovin’ Criminals courtesy of my Dad, I discovered basically all of the bands I’ve mentioned first on my own, I’m autistic and don’t have many friends to enjoy music with. I look forward to the next stream. Thanks for introducing me to some artists I didn’t know, your London to Budapest story got me into cycling whenever I can, and need chill motivational easy listening rock like you love to carry me forward. Cycling down the Coventry Canal tomorrow, will probably be vibing as I’m pedalling to some Gerry Rafferty or Fleet Foxes, dig that dreamier stuff you talked about. Take care Tom!

What country are you in? I’m in UK and it says “blocked in your country on copyright grounds”

Really surprised to see David Bennett Piano in the stream! ...also not surprised by the playlist's style Edit: Amazing. When I got the first glance of the first playlist I somehow expected XTC to be there, and they were. Then when you later said XTC is underrated, I'm just filled with sheer joy. Edit 2: As someone who grew up in China and had limited access to a broad selection of rock classics before becoming an adult, I've only started to listen to full albums by Queen, Cream, Beatles, Kinks, etc after graduating from college. There's no nostalgia in my judgement, and I agree they're the greatests. (Except for the Eagles and Elton John - because they're the only ones in your spreadsheet that entered my life before adulthood. Weird.) Edit 3: lmao I'd also put the Stones on my overrated list. I tried... but just couldn't get into them.

Plays fine for me, Hannah. Did you check again? Looking forward to this one
