What can you expect on Patreon in the coming months?
Added 2022-07-07 10:25:16 +0000 UTCMorning all! There's been a lack of missions in recent months and a lull in patreon content as a result. The situation is about to improve however. Here's what you can expect in the coming months on patreon, both in the $1 tier and the $4 tier.
Dribbling Britain (mixed tiers)
$4 tier:
- Over on the $4 tier right now you will find a freshly made, calamity strewn corker of a video entitled: "My training for "Dribbling Britain" in the Welsh mountains ended in hilarious fashion"
- This will be followed by another training video featuring a 40 mile hike/run in the luscious hills of the peak district, Derbyshire, complete with more amusing twists.
All patreons:
- Filming commences next week and will be promptly edited in time for a mid August YouTube release. All patreons will get to see these two episodes two days early, and after that the bonus footage/ behind the scenes videos will start to come in (again for all patreons)
Cycling across Southern Germany with Verity ($4 tier only)
- Around the 20th of July Verity and I will be flying to Frankfurt and attempting to cycle our way to Munich and maybe even beyond. With two gravel bikes, some camping gear and not a lot else, we plan to peddle our way down the picturesque romantische strasse, admiring the lovely Bavarian architecture, castles and cathedrals along the way. Filmed on a GoPro, It will be a similar product to our 2018 Spain trip, but I'd imagine with even more funny moments and ups and downs along the way.
How not to travel America (all patreons)
THE BIG ONE. Same system as usual. Filming spans all of September, so editing will commence in October. The editing process should be quicker this time as I'll have more editing help. A mid November release is realistic. Again, all episodes will be released two days early for all patreons. There could be up to 6 or 7 episodes of this one, so the bonus footage probably won't reach your screens until the new year, but there'll be lots of it, and it'll be juicer than ever.
Birmingham no roads challenge (all patreons)
In late August I plan to take the daring feats carried out in the black country last September and dial them up a few notches. It is just about doable to cross the entire city of Birmingham (council area) 10 miles from Edgbaston all the way up to Erdington, and I intend to do it before construction work makes it impossible. This one has got everything, underground rivers, abandoned railway tunnels, knife ridden council estates and much more. There might not be bonus footage for this because the action basically never stops, but you can all enjoy yet more early releases.
Monthly streams ($4 tier only)
I did plan on doing fortnightly streams, but I think I'm going to be too busy in all reality. Instead, expect an intimate monthly stream in which we basically chill and chat for 2 hours. I answer a lot of your burning questions, with each week having a general theme/topic. Eg, music, sport, adventures, etc etc.
Other ideas: (mixed tiers)
Whenever possible I'll be throwing in the odd surprise. It might be a surplus geoguessr video, an old video of myself, or something funny that's happened in my day to day life. This could be on either tier, depending on what it is. Feel free to give me ideas of what you'd like to see!
(There will likely also be some real life geoguessr around Christmas too!)
Thanks as always for your on going support. The money I get from Patreon is so important in allowing me to embark on these adventures and not have to worry about the costs. How not to travel America is going to have a BIG budget, and that wouldn't be possible without you guys. Thanks again for allowing me to live the dream and provide the world with great adventures.
Over and out!

2022-08-05 10:07:45 +0000 UTCJust thought I'd let you know - your bike trip from London to Budapest series inspired me to go on a backpacking journey throughout Germany and Denmark for the last month. First time traveling alone and probably the best trip I've ever been on. Decided to check out Munich, Wurzburg and Dusseldorf thanks to your series. Great fun although I'm prepared to agree that Wurzburg wasn't the biggest or liveliest of towns lol

2022-07-12 22:56:55 +0000 UTCThis is all amazing and greatly appreciated!!! I know this is a lot of work and likely a pretty big stressor for you, just know that we all look forward to this content, and thank you endlessly.
2022-07-12 21:45:35 +0000 UTCCan't wait! Very exciting few GeoWizard months. Your Spain trip with Verity has inspired me to do something similar, looked fantastic so I hope the Germany one goes well. A Worms Armageddon stream would be class! :D

2022-07-07 22:37:18 +0000 UTCAlternatively, what about a "How Many German Cities Can We Visit for 9€ each"-video?
Sebastian
2022-07-07 18:05:25 +0000 UTCAt the moment in Germany, there's a €9 ticket that allows you to travel on any (regional) trains, trams and busses. For an extra challenge, you could try and make it to Munich for less than 9€ per person! Also, I'm based in Karlsruhe so give us a shout if you need some local Baden-Württemberg knowledge!
2022-07-07 14:21:09 +0000 UTCThis is the time to join Patreon! For that money the conent you give us feels like an unbelivable bargain. Cannot wait! Good luck with everything, Tom!
