Introducing the "No Roads Mission" ..a very urban adventure [PART 1]

*For those wondering where their YouTube comment went, I had to reupload this because of a mistake. Feel free to comment again if you so wish :)

How goes it Patreons? sorry this one is a bit late. Many of you will have seen the original lockdown no roads mission (if you haven't you should - it's on the $1 tier!)
If you have seen it, don't be confused by the title - it's for YouTube (who haven't)

Subtitles should be all good but let me know if there are any howling errors in there!
other than that, enjoy!

------------------------------

I've always been fascinated with urban decay. The forgotten strips of filth and debris that hide in the cracks of our cities' concrete infrastructures. The hidden tunnels and streams that weave between the factories. The deteriorating shopping centre roofs, the abandoned railway tracks. What if I can link all of these seldom trodden places together and forge myself an adventure?

Introducing my filthiest mission yet, the black country no roads mission. The Patreons among you may remember me marauding my way through my hometown of Aldridge during the first lockdown delivering items to my relatives, without using a single road. Well, i figured it was time for round two, and this one takes us deeper into the vast urban sea that is the West Midlands.

My aim: to get from Walsall to Dudley (10 miles), crossing the bulk of the industrial black country region without walking down a single road. In doing so I go face to face with a whole host of nasty obstacles, from polluted streams to shopping centre roofs to irate construction workers. Add into the mix an ocean of brambles and an unsettling portfolio of spiky fences, and we have ourselves one hell of a pointless adventure.

I've gone for a slower paced, more raw edit on this one, so there's more content for you to enjoy (3 parts)

love it, the precautions are accurate as this is probably one of your most dangerous missions - be careful in any future urban missions

"Screw it, I'll grab on to plants." Great line.

Loved it!

Loved this bro

Happiness is waking up hungover, and remembering you’ve still not watched the first episode of Tom’s new series. Wonderful stuff.

To be honest, I did not see that much of "urban decay". The shopping centre seems to be quite packed, McDonald's is not the worst place in the world to eat, and sewers are... well, sewers. Everywhere. Maybe I'm missing something, but to me Walsall looks pretty decent.

Just taking the shortcuts all the way

It's a great way to gain a new appreciation for your city. Im from Stoke and would never consider leaving roads, this has confirmed my fears.

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

He just says "how ya doin' mate, y'alright?"

I tried to decipher what the McDonalds bloke was saying, but the subtitles weren't helping 😁 Anyway, seemed like a good adventure, I'm thrilled for the next episode!
