Just want to announce that in a couple of weeks times I'll be attempting to cross Wales again, for the third time, with the absolute goal of success. I have heard news of other imminent attempts, and despite increased bramble activity at this time of year, I must get out there and complete this feat just in case some else does. It's a much needed kick up the arse. Sadly Greg cannot make it for this mission because he cannot get the time off work at such short notice. Training hard for the mission however, is my brother Ben, who also has plenty of missioning experience from his youth, and will act as an emergency decoy if shit gets real with a farmer, boosting my chances. The line is a good one, the best yet (or even possible) in terms of success rate. This means less farms, less villages, less action in general. The trade off for this, hopefully is a much higher chance of success. Platinum success at that. I want to be the first person to cross a British country in a straight line, and I want to do it well. Hopefully Ben will be right there with me at the finish line. Planning will be meticulous and stealth will be paramount, however as confident as I am, anything can happen, as we know. If I fail, the series will not go on YouTube. It will instead go on Patreon (all tiers) Me and Greg would then probably attempt it for a fourth time in March.
Feel free to let me know your thoughts! I read and appreciate all your comments!
And the shoey..
Filmed in late August 2016, Salzburg. Whilst hitchhiking across Europe in 2016, I met a particularly fun group of people at my hostel in Salzburg. Myself, another Tom from Australia and a surfer dude called Isaac were fully immersed in an already highly escalated game of "what are the odds". The game involves asking the other participant what the odds are that they'll perform a certain (usually stupid or embarrassing) task. Let's say I give you 1/10. On the count of three you each say a number between 1 and 10, and if they add up to 10, I have to do that task. This video was shot just after we left the hostel and made our way into town. By this stage, the tasks had become more and more daring and depraved, and the odds had become alarmingly low. This was the result - drinking a bottle of beer out of a random boot we found on the street, possibly left by a homeless person. I am not proud of this.
