Tom, thank you for the reply. I was very cross about it last night at what I saw as inaction. I wasn’t painting you as a bad person. It was more disappointment that someone who I feel like a share a ton of common interests and attitudes was seemingly ok with dealing with such an awful, divisive paper. But I can see from your YT post that you’ve clarified a lot of your thoughts on it and I understand where you’re coming from now. Sadly the Sun and football are always going to bring out the most polarising opinions in people and now you’ve seen that manifest in pretty epic proportions. It is only right that after you corrected/clarified your stance that I renew my membership and I’ll see you on YT/Twitch some time in the future. All the best mate.

Maybe you don't care Tom, but please have a look at the overall reaction to using the Sun league on your YT post and reflect on it. It might seem immaterial to you but to an enormous amount of football fans - not just those that support Liverpool - are deeply anti-Sun, not only for the impact it's had relative to the quest for justice for the families of Hillsborough victims but for its perjorative impact on British society in general. Think back to the phone hacking scandals, Brexit, Raheem Sterling's private life, the myriad losses they've faced over defamation of character and libel in the courts etc etc. Yes we could "just use the FPL" league, but it's much more important than that and it's about making a stand, however small, to not legitimise these awful awful papers that contribute far greater pain to the world than they do pleasure. It might sound a bit over-dramatic but it really does matter that much to me, and - by the sounds of things - the majority of people who want to engage in the fantasy stuff and enjoy it over the coming season.
