One of the biggest fails in my entire life.
Back in March 2015, me and my brother Ben took his mate from university (Federico from Estonia) out to Sutton Park for a mooch around. We came across a gap where the overflow from Blackroot lake exits the lake and decided to do some jumps. Having mastered the jump from the higher side, which you can see Ben executing nicely in the first clip, I stupidly decided to give it a go from the other direction, low to high. I don't know what made me think I could make it, but I guess I thought at the very least I can hang on to the other side with my hands. But It was only whilst I was in mid air that I realised something quite critical. If I extend my arms out to grab the bank, I'm going to break my ribs on the wall. So, I had to retract my arms closer to my body to protect my ribs, and they acted like a spring, bouncing me back off the wall and into the cold, dirty drink 6ft below.
No more than a mile in to the shivering trudge back to the car, did it begin to hail. What a day.
Apologies for the shite video quality.
